Hello

Have a cycle and half of data stored on FF. I am finding the visibility it gives me useful so far. I am tracking opk's (CB advanced), CM and temps.

Does anyone know the difference between the "FAM" "advanced" detection settings? I'm sure I read that FAM is better, but I regoogled and can't find where I read that now.

When I change the settings, my ovulation day moves one day. So not the end of the world, but it would be good to know I've set it all up right.

Any advice wold be helpful,

Thanks

FAM calculates ovulation based on your temps and I think cervical mucus/position too. The advanced also uses data from OPKs.

Thanks Blue.

I guess I'll stick with "advanced" mode for now then!

Most of these systems analyze your O according to the data you enter. If you change the data, or enter sth new it may change the O day. I had the same with my ovufriend chart, just cause I put my cm info which I didn't do before.
But it's weird that ff has different modes, on ovufriend you enter everything in one place.
