The old bus ran out of fuel so please board this replacement service! Grin

Probably only about 9dpo! So early days I suppose!

Well, enjoy the cinema while you can! Because if pregnant it won't be long before you a) can't stay awake the full length of a film and b) will have to pee 6000 times an hour so will be unable to follow the plot anyway. And it's not anymore viable with a newborn either...in fact I struggle to get there still even though ds is 2.8... :)

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 21/08/2013 10:57

Sorry, I meant that in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way - I hate it when people greet good news eg. pregnancy with the ha ha, your life is over, DOOM! kind of response and I accidentally just did exactly that...

VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 10:59

Yeah, 9dpo is a bit early isn't it?

impatientlywaiting · 21/08/2013 11:01

Oh my God, most exciting morning on the bus ever!

Congratulations to all of the lines, both the strong and the faint ones. Gilly I've checked and I can see a line. And a line in a line. How exciting for you all.

I think we should make it a rule that to join this thread you need to pee in a pot only. No peeing on sticks allowed. When I got my BFP in July I straight away afterwards dipped 3 IC tests in at a time to my pot to watch the line form in the same place on each one and it straight away took the uncertainty out of it.

VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 11:04

Why's that? It piac better than poas?

gillywillywoo · 21/08/2013 11:14

Haha jelly I took it as you intended it to be taken! Grin

I found that piac (or piar in my case... I did giggle at myself), produced a better faint line, than poas. When I poas I didn't always see it properly (the faint line, had to squint, hold it up to particular light etc), but piar had a line I could see.
Now at the point I really do get B-FAT-P's regardless of method, but piar was good for earliest days before AF due date.

KittyCatKittyCat · 21/08/2013 11:16

Gilly that's exactly what mine looked like around that time, thought I was going mad and not to kid myself. A few days later and it's clear and definitely real. Eek!

VickyVix · 21/08/2013 11:17

Gilly for what it's worth i can see a faint line :) best of luck to you, keep testing and fingers crossed it will get stronger.

And, Well done to all you other ladies on your BFPs too, I've been stalking you this month (sorry) but never boarded the bus! It's great to hear all the good news.

Think I'll join the September bus

impatientlywaiting · 21/08/2013 11:21

VJones, it just means if you pee in a cup you have more of the precious FMU to test to your hearts content with numerous tests rather than having to wait until the next day.

VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 11:23

Ooh yeah, good point. I just know I will wanna test at 10dpo but will try to wait later!!

Bloumermaid · 21/08/2013 11:50

I agree impatiently, on the bus on the way to work after my doc's appt and am glued to this thread!

Gilly I deffo see a line there. Evap line is when it dries and it would not be dry after 5 mins. Also if the control line faded it's not surprising that the pg line also did - you're not supposed to read the result after a certain period of time, they're less reliable. So I think it's looking hopeful - can't wait for the next installment tomorrow!

Doc was great this morning after my scathing comments about newbie male docs - he said his fiancée is having similar issues coming off the pill as me. He thought it sounded like my body is sorting itself out and we should keep dtd.

Have sore boobs for the 1st time this week (+ my usual suspect symptoms), had ECWM last week so who knows, may get that BFP next week...

VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 12:05

bloumer can I ask, what issues have you had coming off the pill?

gillywillywoo · 21/08/2013 12:24

So I went to superdrug and got 2 packs of FRERs. Each pack has 2 tests. So 4 FRER tests! They were on offer Smile

Also got 2 packs of superdrugs own brand tests... Each pack has 3 tests. So 4 of them as well! LOL Grin

FULLY STOCKED UP!

Will use superdrugs own ones to begin with and see what happens. If I get more faint lines I will upgrade to a FRER.

Keeping everything crossed it was a real line and not an evap line or anything dodgy like that.

OP posts:
gillywillywoo · 21/08/2013 12:25

Oops typo. The superdrug packs have 2 tests in each (not 3!) So 4 in total.

OP posts:
VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 12:26

What's a frer?

gillywillywoo · 21/08/2013 12:27

First response early result Smile
The pink ones

OP posts:
VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 12:27

Right. How early do they respond then?

gillywillywoo · 21/08/2013 12:28

Umm I think you can use them as early as 4 days before your period is due Smile

OP posts:
VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 12:35

Ah right, so the Superdrug ones can't be used before af is due? Sorry for the questions...

JellyBeanDavey · 21/08/2013 12:38

Haha gilly, I was thinking 3 + 3 doesn't equally 4! BABY BRAIN Wink

It would be awesome for you to get a bfp! But it would be a shame to lose you to the antenatal bus, I think we all agree!

gillywillywoo · 21/08/2013 12:41

The superdrug ones can be used too. Apparently they're quite good Smile

So I'll use the superdrug ones first and if I see a faint line again I will try a FRER!!!
Reason I don't want to use the FRERs first is because they are more expensive!!

I get a positive on a FRER, I'll get a clearblue digi.. LOL Grin

Haha working my way through all the brands! Grin

Anyway still don't want to get too excited. I'm really starting to think its just an evap line or something. I don't feel like this is my month! Not sure why. Hmmm. Time will tell!

OP posts:
VJONES1985 · 21/08/2013 12:43

Ooh, I may get a Superdrug one to use for my first hpt session next week!!

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 21/08/2013 12:54

FRER can be used six days before af is due - that's when I got my first bfp but it was faint and came up after the time limit so not reliable. 48hours later it came up clear and within the right time. The line was MUCH more distinct on that than on an ic.
