has anyone ever used tesco's own brand test or know how sensitive they are? I only just read the back and they say to test on the day AF is due, and that combined with impatiently saying she got bfn one day and bfp the next when AF was due are keeping my hopes up.

All tests are more sensitive from the day AF is due so if it's not due yet, you may not get an accurate result. Having said that, I've heard of women not getting a bfp until days after AF was due..

yeah... i get that, but I'm totally jealous of the faint-line brigade! AF is due the same day as Gilly's!

Says tesco is 25mIU.
So I used IC 10mIU Wed = BFN, IC 10mIU on Thur (day AF due) and Fri = BFP, and Clearblue 25mIU on Sat and got BFP.

Actually on Thur I did about 5 Internet cheap tests (all from same pot of FMU), did one and thought there might have been a line so did the rest. 2 of them were so faint that if I'd picked that one out first I would have considered it BFN and wouldn't have done anymore that day. So even tests with the same mIU sensitivity have a bit of variance in what they show.

I have a feeling af is going to show up soon, have had an achy tummy yesterday and this morning, but who knows, first month off the pill, could be waiting weeks for it to show up!

So basically, it really is worth waiting for AF day to poas because it can make all the difference.

Well mummies to be, stopped in from work for a quick wee break and a quick poas and sure enough "PREGNANT 1 to 2 Weeks" don't think it has sunk in yet but I just want to say if your af is due and u get a positive ovulation, get a pregnancy test sharpish!!!

And thanks, impatiently, that's nice to hear. I think I'll give up testing, though, as it doesn't even stop me from hoping - it just gives me momentary disappointment. I think I'd much rather just wait around for a few days and see if AF comes on schedule - Tuesday or Wednesday.

my 2 main symptoms were actually feeling really energetic and slight constipation (sorry TMI) and a heavy feeling on my bikini line!

Thank you all so much. I have new hope as I was sure I was pregnant all month long that's why I took the BFN so hard but I have renewed hope and am actually quite excited. I'm all out of cheapies and only have my cb diggie left. Maybe Wednesday if I can wait...

I feel stupid being so excited again. I know you all know this but what a roller coaster! Should I go before wed?

M33r, I feel like we're in the same boat, what a rollercoaster indeed. I'd wait until Weds. I've got a cbd in my cupboard and if AF isn't here by Weds I'm testing, so if I can wait so can you!

Congratulations, mojo, yet another August BPF! The May club should be getting busy already.

I think I might need a bit of to get through the next 63 hours or so. AF due Tuesday, but I really hope the wait isn't cut short for either of us, m33r. Anyone else holding out until Weds for testing? I feel like there are still quite a few people at the back of the bus with us.
