Has anyone got pregnant more quickly with #2 than #1

Having perused a few threads it seems quite common for it to take longer to get pg with #2. Is this always the case? Just about to start trying for #2 and already worrying that it might not happen!

I got pregnant the first day of trying with ds 2 .

I also thought it would take longer to get caught when trying for number 2 but we got caught the first day of trying. Good luck

Ds1 - tried for 12 months, found out we needed IVF. Had IVF, it worked. This one: breastfeeding ds1 and start feeling ill... 8 weeks pregnant! That wasn't supposed to be able to happen!

9 months with #1 and first month with #2!

18 months DD1, 3 months DD2

In fact, anecdotally, I have heard far far more stories of quicker or accidental subsequent babies (unless much much older!). I reckon the fact the cervix has dilated once then it's got a wider space, allowing more sperm. Plus your body knows what to do maybe?

DD started the Dec cycle, pregnant April, miscarried, pregnant again October

DS weren't trying, took a risk as very early in cycle but feel pregnant straight away!

Know how you feel though, planning to try for no 3 in the new year and already worrying it will take forever or not happen at all!

DS1 took 6 months, DS2 was literally a one hit wonder!!! I have a lot of friends who got pregnant very quickly 2nd time

Number 3s taking its time, over a year so far.......

Pregnancy #1 - 8 month s
Pregnancy #2 - first try
Pregnancy #3 - 12 loooooong months
Pregnancy #4 - first try

So unpredictable!

No1 - over 2 years :(

No2 - just didn't use any protection at all and was still breasfeeding and now have two children 13 months apart, so maybe a month or so?

DC1 - 2nd month of trying
DC2 - 2nd month of trying (but was pretty much the immaculate conception as we DTD once that month)
Someone once said to me that if you try for DC2 within 9-18 months of having DC1 your body is still in pregnancy mode and your more likely to conceive quickly. I know loads of people who took time to conceive DC1, (some had IVF) but then went on to conceive their DC2s very fast

1st child: 6 months, 2nd child: straight away. Ended up with a smaller age gap than anticipated!

1st child: 2nd month. 2nd child - still trying (1 and a half years on). Don't think there's a pattern - so just go for it.

1st child - 1 month of trying.
2nd (yet to be born!) child - 2 months of trying.

All 4 pregnancies first try. My dh now thinks he has rocket sperm!

First DD 18 months and starting to get a little concerned. DD2 conceived while still BF 7 month dd1(and let's face it, there was NOT a lot of action in that department with a small baby)

Yup, a year with ds1, 2nd month with ds2.

12 months with DS1, 1 months with DS2. They are 17 months apart

My parents had me after 2 months trying and dbro appeared on the horizon just as they were thinking of trying again, but were still technically on precautions.

Dh and I are about to start TTC ds2 (ds took 2 months) but for some reason am really paranoid it won't take..

I month with DC1

5 years and 3 rounds of IVF for DC2

Same partner and we started trying for no 2 when DC1 was 15 months old.

DC1 - 12 months
DC2 - 1st month

DC1 - 6 months

DC2 - 1st month. Poor DH

This thread is encouraging. It took us 11 months to conceive DS. He's 9 months now and we have just started ttc DC2. I'm hoping it won't take as long this time.

3 years for ds1
1 month for ds2
2 weeks for ds3
1 weekend for ds4
