hello - i'm new here so sorry if this has been covered loads already...

This month was the first time we have been TTC (we have one DS already - 2.5yo) and i am 8 days late now. Usually, my cycle is like clockwork - you can set your watch by me!! So i was thinking that the test would be a formality - but no! I have now had 3 negatives and i can't believe that this can be a coincidence (i.e. for the first time in 23 years of menstruating, i am late for the first time in a month where i am TTC!!)

is it possible for preg tests (clearblue in this case, not the digital one) to show a negative when you are pregnatn?

am very confused!!

It is possible to get a false reading, as perhaps the levels of hcg are not yet high enough, so maybe leave it a few days and try again?

thanks, it's just that it says it's so accurate...

v frustrating!

I've had 3 pregnancies and in all of them I haven't got a positive until I was at least 2 weeks late!

I know it's hard, but try and wait a week then do one again. Or at least buy a big pack of tests from eBay so you don't spend loads in tests!

thanks - didn't know it could take that long to show up. With my DS, the line appeared straight away!!

good tip on the ebay tests too... can't afford to keep up my 3 a day habit :)
