2 chemical pregnancies in a row, what are we doing wrong?

Hi all, can anyone offer any advice on chemical pg please, I've had 2 in a row now. Each time I had a faint bfp around the day af was due, then the following days I tested again and got bfn, then af arrived 4 days late. What can me and dh do to help the pg stick? One other thing I'm wondering is whether having an erpc can affect implantation, I had one in march, could something have got messed up maybe ( clutching at straws now!)?

Most of the time, it's an embryo issue, so it is your body doing you a favour so you don't have to carry a non-viable pregnancy (although it doesn't feel that way at the time). With my last IVF round we had 2 poor quality fragmented embryos that they didn't think would do anything. In fact, one at least did try to implant - I got a chem preg. But they were never looking good.

There are some things that can cause implantation failure, but it is most likely just a problem embryo and you will get the lucky sticky one soon.

Thanks eurochick, I know it's better for it to end before it really starts if the embryo has anything wrong with it, and at least we can keep trying. It's just so frustrating, and even more so to happen 2 cycles in a row.
