Any thoughts as to what's going on?

Hi. Not trying for a DC, we are meant to be done! Had an accident with a condom at a particularly fertile point last month. Began to think I might be pregnant. AF comes as normal.....
Now I seem to be having another period two weeks later.....
Thoughts?! Just wondering if I was pregnant briefly?

Thanks Smile

I suppose it could have been implantation bleed followed by an early MC. Were both like normal periods? Did you POAS and was it (and is it still) negative? (ie are you sure you're not now pg?)

Or it could just be a weird cycle, for they do happen for no apparent reason at all. How old are you? Could it be the start of the menopause?

I am 42. Seriously hope it's not the menopause already. Period seemed normal, possibly a bit shorter than normal , this bleed is heavy and feels quite crampy. Did test today and it came out negative.
I don't normally bother writing down when my period is anymore but think I will do so for the next few months to keep an eye on things.
Thanks so much for answering Smile

It would be early, but not worryingly early, for start of perimenopause.

It's probably worth keeping a note of your cycle - but chances are that this will be a one-off weirdity. If you are sure, however, that you don't want more DC, and if your cycle does become irregular, you might want to think about reviewing your contraception - the fail rate for condoms is such that you might find yourself worrying every month.
