The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Evening all, I pop in now and again but feel like an honourary member what with no pot to PIMP in or cycle to temp - just HRT woes and some seemingly endless waiting going on here!

Blindkitty - 33, ttc 25 months, 1 week in of first cycle of iui

cherry the 'waiting' is pants! If its not an appointment or a procedure, it's the 2ww!

Roll on wed! Getting nervous about my second scan now. Praying I've not overstimmed!

cherrycoconut · 18/08/2013 22:23

I hear you blind I'm not good at waiting! Fingers crossed all your eggs are cooking nicely and haven't over done it.

Boodle9 · 18/08/2013 22:51

Bunny's getting the dildocam, Bunny's getting the dildocam! Tee hee hee.

Bunny, sorry! I'm in a childish mood! Dildocam is fine - I actually found mine interesting as I could see the screen and she told me at the time how everything was looking. Would have far rather seen a baby rather than my barren uterus though. No idea about your sperm count question earlier either. I'm wondering whether you could find an archived thread in 'conception' or 'infertility'?

Blind - thinking of steak is making my mouth water! Darn it!

Fox82 · 18/08/2013 22:58

Evening! Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! I've been on a cooking experience day with work today, followed by lunch and drinks. Made a nice change to being at work! Spent yesterday with children/babies but felt ok about it. Was kind of nice me and DH weren't getting stressed about a little person like everyone else was (although obviously we'd love to!)

Bunnygirlie · 18/08/2013 23:23

Thanks boodle I can't wait Wink then I join in with the rest of you and talk about dildocam, or didn't somebody else call it fannycam

If I do have it at my first appointment I hope DH won't be allowed in, that would be grim!

Hey cherry how are you Hun?

OP posts:
Boodle9 · 18/08/2013 23:28

Bunny, would he want to be in if they allowed it?! I went on my own to my appointment (as it was before my first FC) but I don't recall their being enough space for a spectator! Grin

Fox - what sorts of things did you cook? (Got food on the brain now after Blind's steak...)

Hi Cherry!

Fox82 · 18/08/2013 23:36

Hey boodle! Sorry I was trying to be vague, as if anyone on here knows me in RL then by confirming exactly what cooking we did I'd out myself... then realised I've probably given more than enough info already, especially taking into account my nickname, so pointless really Grin

We made and decorated chocolate truffles! It was very messy and lots of fun! And nice to see work colleagues on a fun day out rather than at work. Quite proud of the end result in little bags tied with ribbon! Grin

Fox82 · 18/08/2013 23:39

(Could really do with a steak now too after staying out for a few drinks! Yum!)

Boodle9 · 18/08/2013 23:41

Grin Ooops! Sorry! Didn't mean to make you out yourself! Chocolate truffles sound gooooooood!

Resists urge to ask Fox why her nickname could give her away.

Fox82 · 18/08/2013 23:47

To be honest they looked better than they tasted! Not that it will stop me from eating them Grin

my nickname is very unimaginatively my surname, and NOT me insinuating I'm "foxy". (Only thought that this could be how it's read long after I'd gone with it)

happylass · 18/08/2013 23:48

Evening all, just popping in for a late catch up. Had a lovely day out in the sunshine with DP's family. Sadly it looks like SIL has had a MMC at 11 weeks. She has to wait until next week to find out for sure though Sad
Told the first person in RL today that we are TTC and randomly it was the woman who works in the gym!! She teaches my Pilates and Zumba classes and we know lots of the same people so she's not a complete stranger. She came over to chat when I was on the X-trainer and asked if I had kids yet and said she'd been trying for 2 years so I told her we were TTC too. Felt so good to finally say it out loud!!
What's happening with Pip's eggs?
Kitty good luck with your scan and FX for everyone else who's got stuff happening this week. Night all.

haycorn · 19/08/2013 08:14

Oh Happy, that's really sad for your SIL. I've had a little pootle around the 'knocked up' threads and so many are discussing maternity clothes and prams and nurseries, and it's such early early days that there is no way I can join in with that kind of talk. I am terrified of falling out if this helicopter. I hope it's alright with you all if I continue to hang around here? Not only is the world out there a bit weird and scary, but none of the other threads are half as witty or charming as the berries either.

P.S. What is happening with your Piplets Pip?

Bunnygirlie · 19/08/2013 08:32

Lol boodle no I don't think he'd wanna watch, I def wouldn't want him too. I just wondered as we are going to the appt together.

Mmmmmmmmm truffles nom nom nom

Oh happy how sad for you SIL

happy I know what you mean about saying it out loud, obviously my reflexologist knows but also the girl who waxes my legs, she is struggling too, in fact she is having ivf after they take her tubes out! I also told a friend last year just before she had her first baby, weird that somebody knows but nice to have somebody ask how I am.

Hey haycorn don't worry we won't kick you out just yet, unless you start talking about prams of course that's how the berry grads thread started

Had a bit of a meltdown yesterday, was sorting through a box my folks gave me full of take that scrapbooks posters etc and also in there was a doll from my childhood and some artwork from primary school, I started crying for no reason. Thinking about it now I guess I am sad for my childhood gone and the fact that I'm stuck in limbo until I have my own child, does that make sense?!?

Hope everyone is well this Monday morning!

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 19/08/2013 08:42

I second haycorn, I've been cheating on the Berries with the April 14 thread, but am going to give up on it - too many people and not supportive like it is here! Although if you want to pop by the grads thread haycorn that's full of lovely berries too despite discussion of breastfeeding and sleepless nights which just seems a world away

Happy so sorry to hear about SIL. MC is so cruel Sad. Glad to hear you've let the cat out of the ttc bag, I ended up telling everyone and to be honest it was a massive relief as didn't have to pretend any more!

Bunny Mr Boom was with me for most of the dildocams because I'm a wuss and needed my hand holding although didn't let him come for the hycosy because that's a bit more legs akimbo! The dildocam is pretty much covered up, but if you don't want your DH there just say so and he'll be able to wait outside.

Fox mmmm truffles....are you passing them around?

Kitty good luck with the next scan, hope your eggs are just right! And Pip, any news?

happylass · 19/08/2013 10:43

And the witch has just arrived chez Happy Sad. 24 day cycle this time - shortest ever. What's that all about?!? Quite convenient actually as have to have cd21 test again (cd19 in my case) and now it won't fall on the weekend. Every cloud and all that. Well off I go to pack away my BBT, OPKs and conception vits until the new year.
How are our pg ladies doing? Any news from Barking? Did she manage to sort her wedding after??

sparechange · 19/08/2013 11:07

Just filling in my bit on the stats!
Had a lovely weekend which involved a lot of other peoples' children and now Mr Spare is broodier than a broody thing! We ended up watching a box set last night which had a scene where one of the characters goes for a scan, and he just gave me the biggest hug and said it will be us soon, and it will be the happiest day of our lives. So no pressure then!

happy sorry for your poor SIL. What horrible news Sad

OP posts:
SidneyBristow · 19/08/2013 13:34

Any news from Pip yet?
Happy really sorry AF showed up, even if you were suspecting her Sad. And really, really sorry for your SIL and bro. Just another reminder that getting pg is just the first step Thanks Funny you mention telling people; last week I must've been feeling chatty & wound up blurting it out to my dental hygienist (first time I'd ever met her...Blush Blush Blush) and the lady who led a cooking class I took. Hygienist's advice was to consider visiting some cliff where there's a huge carving of a man, said to be a fertility totem; chef's advice was to stop trying. Helpful, not! But was kind of them both to care, I guess.

Bunny the dildocam is really a breeze; mine took all of 5 mins and was strangely transfixing. Like Boodle I did have the thought that it would've been nice to be at the stage where a scan was showing a healthy baby in there, but overall was a big relief to have it done. Yours will go fine!

Blind hoping all your eggs are rocking along just as they should be Thanks

Slow day here at Bristow Towers. Did an OPK last night and there was a strong enough line that even DH saw it easily; I know it doesn't mean anything at all and I am very, very likely to be hugely let down later in the week, but the chance of a get-out-of-fertility-clinic-free baby is all that's keeping me sane this week!! FWIW there was no line on the one I did Sun, but faintish-strongish ones before then, so I'm not holding my breath that any of them mean anything at all. I've just developed a sick habit of weeing on things Blush

happylass · 19/08/2013 13:37

Bunny wedding is a year today! Will probably start trying again around February time. Seems ages away now but I'm sure it'll fly by. When's your FC appointment? I have my last blood test at the GPs on Sept 6 th and was told to ring FC for an appointment once they're all done but may ring this week as imagine I'll have to wait a few weeks for an appointment?

happylass · 19/08/2013 13:39

Sorry Sid x-post. When are you testing??
