The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

bunny I've just googled it and apparently with the menopur injections I'm having there is a 60-70% pregnancy success. That's not including me having iui (i.e putting the best swimmers in at the right time). Suddenly actually feeling more positive Grin

Gillster · 14/08/2013 21:06

Sounds like good progress Kitty! Fingers crossed for the menopur to do its job and some IUI success.

Snowlily · 14/08/2013 21:07

Evening berries,
sounds promising kitty at least you have an accurate diagnosis at last. Congrats Tally Barking and Pip it's all go in here!
how about a new seat? The ottoman of optimism?
Hubby and I went to speak to the acupuncturist (right word?) yesterday who has also written the healthy eating & juicing book we've been following. She's given us a few more pointers and agrees that I'm likely to have a hormone imbalance so will have a go at rebalancing with acupuncture & our diet. OH was also told no alcohol (which I had been trying to tell him before, but he wasn't having it) he's not a huge drinker but likes his social Friday nights in the pub. Hopefully he'll stick to as it he's making an effort with everything else diet wise. :)

Bunnygirlie · 14/08/2013 21:09

Yay kitty Smile

Kitty.... Come and have a lounge on the futon of fruitfulness! You know you want to.

Nothing more satisfying than finally actually knowing what the problem is. Well, except for your BFP which I'm sure you will have very soon.

marie456 · 14/08/2013 21:30

That sounds very hopeful Kitty! I'm excited for you!! X

Tallyra · 14/08/2013 21:32

yay kitty!!!!!

You will come and join us in the helicopter soon!

Boomgoestheweasel · 14/08/2013 21:39

Woo kitty, pip, good news (even though it's annoying how long you had to wait for yours kitty)

Keeping the helicopter seats warm for you guys Grin

Hello cherry lovely to see you. Sorry you're in limbo x

Spare sorry you found out like that, hard to take that news at the best of times.

Right, off to devour pork cheek...not made it before so fingers crossed!

BlindKitty · 14/08/2013 21:42

tally I bloody hope so!!! I've waited long enough!

peasant I'm actually already sat on the pouffe of possibility!!! Haven't been here for a really long time!

snow I've booked some accupuncture for Saturday. Oh and I banned Dh from drinking too. Neither of us have had a drop in 6 weeks! He's getting desperate but I'm cracking the whip! Grin

Bunnygirlie · 14/08/2013 21:45

How's things boom ? Comfy in that helicopter?

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 14/08/2013 21:53

Oh my word. Pork cheek is AMAZING.

Apart from the constant fear that I'm going to fall out, not too bad thanks bunny. Am hungry all the time and occasionally slightly nauseous; other than that, nothing to report. Looking forward to seeing a few more of you up here!

How are you bunny? Are you feeling any cheerier? x

rumisyum · 14/08/2013 22:05

Well done on the egg front, pip! Rooting for them - I'm sure the ICSI will do the trick.

So glad I could bring a grin, kitty. Grin And haha, yes you were waiting in the c*nt examination room at the time! Also great optimistic news, so the bloodbath sounds like it was well worth it.

sparechange that is a hard way to find out about your friend's pregnancy. Especially when she had an opportunity to say something just recently. Ugh. Tough stuff.

Pork cheek is amazing boom. How'd you do it?

Been for our IVF clinic intro session today. Trying to feel all YAY, IVF! instead of WAAAAAH! I wish I didn't bloody need it! and struggling slightly. Hearing about all the potential risks and complications was especially fun. Hmm

So I'm breaking my booze ban and having a wee rum. It seems called for. (Too bad there isn't a mojito smiley. Wine )

rumisyum · 14/08/2013 22:07

I meant italics not underline. These are the perils of wee rums when you've been essentially teetotal for ages.

BlindKitty · 14/08/2013 22:20

rum at least you're a 'cheap date' haha. Is ivf definitely what's needed then? I can't remember your story x

rumisyum · 14/08/2013 22:31

kitty, I'm cheap as chips at the moment.

Yep, apparently IVF is the thing. We're unexplained for no bloody reason whatsoever, and I have had a couple chemical pregnancies aeons ago, so they're going straight for the big guns, I guess? I don't know, we need to have our individualised consultation thingy and see, but I think IVF will be it. I'm sure I'll be more excited about it once I've had a chance to get over the shock of being "really" infertile that actually being at the place for treatment drives home, if you know what I mean?

Bunnygirlie · 14/08/2013 22:33

Still a bit blah boom had a meltdown Monday but AF strangely vanished today so just getting on with things I guess! Glad you are doing ok!

Hugs rum you drunken bum Wink must be weird getting to the ivf stage.

Thank you for all your congratulations Grin . It wasn't exactly a surprise, we had had some hypothetical conversations about rings and he asked my ring size, and I was pretty sure he'd ask at some point during the holiday!!
We did a massive hike (about 1500m up) and he found a secluded spot and got down on one knee (yes tally it was quite windy so my hair was blowing across my face!) and he said he loved me more than anything in the world, would I marry him? I said yes Grin .

BlindKitty · 15/08/2013 06:01

Rushes in to speak to a certain person (you know who you are) but she's not posted!!!

Ah better go and stab myself with some drugs in the meantime!

barkingtreefrog · 15/08/2013 06:03

And in other news, I may require a seat on that there helicopter Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin .

IamKuma · 15/08/2013 06:13

barking this really is your week Grin congrats
Looks like a cluster-diff really is happening!!!

Boomgoestheweasel · 15/08/2013 06:47

Eeeee barking hooray hooray! What a holiday you're having! Climb aboard! Xxx

barkingtreefrog · 15/08/2013 07:00

Ok, finally managed to make the tediously slow wifi work on my netbook, so can now catch up instead of just blurting out my news on the phone app!

Gillster thanks for the wang. Managed to snap myself out of it, I think it was just the thought of saying 'we've got some news' and family automatically expecting a baby not a wedding. Also, as it wasn't a massive surprise, it was lovely rather than wildly exciting, if that makes sense?! We're not telling anyone we're engaged wow that sounds weird via text/email/fb, I wanted to wait until we got home to tell everyone in person before the masses found out on FB!!

rum - DP just showed me that link on facebook!

spare that's a horrible way to find out about a pg, I would have had that automatic sick to the stomach feeling Flowers

happy I have to confess I was a little bit eager there, I already had an idea of what I wanted, I presented the idea to DP (in that way that makes it appear we came to the conclusion together Wink, and he said 'go sort it out then' (I do all the actual 'doing' stuff in our relationship, he just voices ideas out loud in order for me to make stuff happen). So less than 8 hours after the proposal we had agreed a venue for both the ceremony and reception, and I'm in email contact with the relevant people for both!! Reception venue couldn't do chosen date so just emailed back the ceremony venue to see if they could do a week earlier Shock. I am known for my speed and efficiency of putting a plan into action when I've made my mind up about something....

snow my DP said he'd cut down but he really struggled. When the FC said 'a few drinks won't hurt' he stopped trying...

kitty 60-70% plus IUI sounds amazing!!! It must be your turn this cycle! Don't get too comfy on that pouffe of possibility, you'll be leaving by helicopter very soon! Grin ps - I was here, but we cross posted!!

Boom how's poo watch going? Is pooch getting any better?

Right, bedtime here now...

Gillster · 15/08/2013 07:21

Yay Barking for BFP news too and yay for clomid! What's the clomid success rate from the latest batch of Berries to take it? Is it 2 out of 4? I'm pleased I helped to talk you out if taking the second batch now. Smile

Starkin · 15/08/2013 07:27

My news isn't as fantastic as a BFP but for me that flashing smiley face on my ov test is just as good. First time in ages I've had a positive....that's my weekend sorted then :-D

haycorn · 15/08/2013 07:31

How big is this helicopter? Is there room on it for me? I am not anywhere close to believing it, but after all this time the stick is finally saying yes!
