hi everyone, my husband and I were delighted we'd conceived baby #3 3 months after having my mirena removed. Unfortunately I miscarried at around 6 weeks, my bleeding started on 6th July and ended on 15th July, my hcg levels never got above 143 so they left my system pretty quick, by the 18th I was having bfn at the drs. I wondered when should I expect my AF? before the mc I was always 28 days bang on! I have had no symptoms for AF, although I have had really bad heartburn for 4 days, this was my first symptom last time too, so could I be pregnant? I'm useless at working out dates and cycles and ovulation etc..... we bd'd on 15th July and have been pretty consistently b'ding every other night since then with the exception of a couple of days. when should a test show bfp given all these dates? thanks for taking the time to read, hope someone has some advice for me x

its just so frustrating cos my body is telling me one thing and the tests another! cramping/bearing down/heavy feeling, different to AF cramps but at the same time no 'snail trail!'

I really don't know what to think :/

Lol to all the funny stories you share / nicknames etc...I'm catching up so sitting here feeling all your positive energy.

Thanks for the advice cheesy...I didn't think to temp after mc despite having bought 2 x the kit! So haing read yours I have taken my temp today with both thermometers and have 2 diff results...great start...

I've had CM but can't tell whether its sticky rice or egg white...neither would be things I associate discharge to...

I hope all you ladies are well and are going strong with dtd ... Hubby has been on night shift this week so no dtd for us (this is when I've had most cm).

MrsA and Mrs RV I understand you have children. Positive do you? Cheesy I reckon you and I are in same boat trying for first? Apologies if I have got this wrong. Quite a lot to read so may have got it all mixed up.

This is my second mc in 7 months - dec 12 was first...natural and very early.lots of clotting and it took about 3 months for my periods to get back to normal. I was using opks but found they never gave me a positive result. So in April, during the 4th period after mc, I went to an acupuncture fertility specialist. I got pregnant that cycle. Now I'm not a tree worshipper or a big doollaly fan of homeopathic treatments but he was fantastic! The observations he made were spot on. I'm veggie and he told me the lack of iron and lack of "good" enough blood flow through my uterus would make it difficult to get pregnant, or give me difficulties during pregnancy. It made sense to me.

Sorry I've gotten carried away writing this. I'm just in awe of him. Dh and I have been ttc since we jut married in July 2011 and I finally conceived in dec 12 and lost baby very soon after. So getting pregnant this time round, and staying pregnant for longer I truly believe the acupuncturist played a part. I actually ended up cancelling appointment during pregancy because I became so sick from the all day sickness (it can be called morning...not when one vomits dawn, morning, noon, dusk and night) I couldn't get in car and drive to him. Happy to share his details if you're anywhere near Solihull.

Re sickness I was vomiting until I went in to have medical mgt! 3 weeks after I found out no heartbeat, and probably 5 weeks since baby had actually stopped developing. My body was so pregnant. tummy was growing, boobs hurt like mad with milk in it...so if anyone says the sickness and the hormones are a good sign, don't take their word for it. Your body may have right hormone levels but the baby may just not be ready...

I am soooooooooo sorry I've written an essay...I almost feel like I'm writing a diary entry or something. Thank you for reading (*).
Anyway will stop now.

I hope all goes well for you ladies and the shagging and the ovulating happens as you need

Big hugs and kisses xxxxxxxxx

rb30 · 29/08/2013 23:28

Oh ladies, I appear to have missed pages 4-5 of thread! I'm so sorry for your losses Leons! You seem to be remaining very strong and determined. Very inspiring.

Mrs a I hope you feel ok. The pain is unusual isn't it? Have you had it checked?

Cheesy I know af not welcome, but look at this way, at least your body is back to normal, having a good clean up of the uterus, meaning ttc will be much easier (sorry , trying to stay positive for you as in same situation...though still waiting for AF).

Positive and Mrs RV is the big O happening for you as expected

Will catch up on all tomorrow . Love lots xxxx

cheesysmile · 30/08/2013 00:26

Mrs A I think it is possible to miss the surge with the opks so maybe just keep dtd for a bit longer? What CD are you on.

Hi RB, sounds like you've had it a lot tougher than me, but you sound like your coping well. Yep im ttc #1 too ... excited still but nervous now after mc. I think just use the one thermometer as consistency prob more important than accuracy iyswim. Where are you in your cycle, are you in the 2ww now or not sure?

I'm off to sleep now ladies, Nighty Smile

MrsAnderson22 · 30/08/2013 00:33

hi cheesysmile, I am CD13....or 14 now as it's 12.30am! we have been bd'ing so hopefully I've just missed the surge on the tests, I'll check back in tomorrow after my morning test and night one, to let you all know.

xx

Hope you all have a good day!

MrsAnderson22 · 30/08/2013 13:58

I've had the closest to a + this morning, top and bottom of the test line is as dark as the control line but the middle section is lighter........any ideas? xx

OP posts:
MrsAnderson22 · 30/08/2013 21:53

how's everyone doing? still no +opk as yet but a little 'snot trail' today :D not egg white though :/ so carry on peeing and dipping til my +! anyway it's 2 weeks today til AF is due which should mean I was in the 2ww, I have no qualms saying my af will come as expected I'm always bang on date! so will be testing around 13th anyway xx

OP posts:
Leons · 30/08/2013 21:58

hope all okay. Thanks for all your good wishes.
rb30 Im very determined, Im 42, so much want number 3 before it gets really too late for me. A last minute camping trip put my schedule right off, no dtd in a cramped camper van with 2 kids and it kept me off here too. Not sure whats going on with me at the moment, today I feel like af is coming, which would only be 18 days since mc, I was hoping to be in the 2ww, but its fine I suppose if it means my body is bouncing back to normal much quicker and I will be more sure of timings.

Positivementakattitude · 31/08/2013 08:15

Hiya ladies and welcome rb ... I am also ttc #1 on cd 20 and stopped opks now before I committ murder !!! I have bought the clearblue monitor (good deal on eBay) for next month a week today for AF which I'm almost certain will arrive unfortunately !

DH 's do have it way to too easy but still feel the pressure I think ??! I'm very open about my tracking/peeing/googling etc and think he feels pressure so we tend to do it less when it's important strange as I know he does want a baby but men are strange maybe pressure plus they listen but don't understand ovulating egg life span sperm life span etc etc gosh who does I know I don't hard to not be annoyed tho ok for men to say yeh hopefully next month !!!! They don't have the things to go through that we do !!!

And that's my DH who is actually a real softie in this case less maybe more so next month keeping peak days to myself see how that goes

Those sticks are utter crap excuse my frenchbut they are and tbh if u didn't really want a bundle of joy I would give up I hate the 1ww its yorture always feel so down ? !!! Or is just me

Mrs a and rv and cheesy smile hope u all ok sorry to rant xxx

Positivementakattitude · 31/08/2013 08:15

And Leon's sorry to miss u out there xxx

Positivementakattitude · 31/08/2013 08:16

P.s rb I live by Solihull ....where is the acupuncture ? Xx

rb30 · 31/08/2013 10:11

Positive I've just messaged you his details. Good luck xxxx

rb30 · 31/08/2013 10:18

Ps cheesy no idea about cycle because foetus only came out at beginning of August so not had first af yet. Had v little bleeding after medical management - brown...nothing since. I think I may have ovulated a week ago (but honest I've never been able to tell). Oh I dunno...I guess just eat healthy, live healthy and bd as often as poss.
I agree with positive the sticks are rubbish. Let e know how you get on with monitor. I might invest in one

Totally understand the sometimes frustration with dh. They try their best but will never truly nuderstand what we go through emotionally...

Anyway happy ovulating and baby making all cxxxxxx

MrsAnderson22 · 31/08/2013 11:20

morning all!!

I haven't kept anything from my husband, he laughs when I show him the little love hearts on my calendar etc....tbh though he's absolutely clueless when it comes to ovulating etc.....to the point where he honestly believed it was called nobulating!!! which cracked me and my friend up and the new term has now stuck haha!! he has never, in so many words said -maybe next month, but he's just so laid back in absolutely everthing, I can just see that he really wants another baby but is of the 'it'll happen when it happens...' mindset. wish I was! can't remember the last time I peed without collecting it in a tub!! Blush once these opks are finished I'm not buying anymore! no way! too stressful, too frustrating!

talk later, my little chicks are hungry :)
xx

MrsRV · 31/08/2013 14:28

Ha ha ha... Nobulating! Love it! Sounds about right though, I know I turn into a bit of a bob around about that time.

Totally pissed off today. Had huge row with hub lastnight which started off over a bloody lasagne & ended with him giving me a lecture on parenting. Idiot. He has since apologised & has bought me a new changing bag but still...

Did a preggers test this morning. AF not die til Friday but just couldn't help myself. BFN. So I reckon I'm out of the running until next cycle. I know it's early but tested a week early with previous pregnancies & got BFP's. so pissed off. AND... I seem to have watery snail trails today... 6 days before AF... What's that all about? Can't be ovulating this late? Maybe it's a sign AF on way early? Have had sore boobs, thrush, mood swings like U wouldn't believe hence the test. I just want to be frickin pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TTC is very stressful, I don't know how people cope when they've been trying for years. It would turn me into an actual fruit loop.

MrsRV · 31/08/2013 14:28

Nob, not bob Grin

MrsAnderson22 · 31/08/2013 22:38

jeese I can't wait til these opk's run out haha! just did my last one for the day about half an hour ago, test line was waaaay darker than it normally is but still not as dark as control line........fingers crossed again for tomorrow Hmm

as I have a pretty spot on 28 day cycle, I had to google ovulation dates to put my mind at ease, apparently I could ovulate anywhere up to CD18!! as long as I have a 10 day luteal phase it's nothing to worry aboutWink I am CD16 now so not worrying too much, just sick of waiting...

xx

OP posts:
MrsAnderson22 · 01/09/2013 16:48

Finally!!! +opk! the test line is soooo much darker than the control line and it came up straight away :D

Yay! That's nearly bang on time...! 13th is almost a 2ww. At last Mrs A. lets hope u get a BFP... Xx

Ithink I ovulated yesterday/today... Unless it was just a little wee :-)

Too bloody close to AF!!!!!!!!!! Still pissed off & had to go to a baby shower today. Obviously cried on the way home & wanted to wail "why can't I just be pregnant".

MrsAnderson22 · 01/09/2013 21:15

I am classing myself as in the 2ww anyway ha! sounds better than 3+!! maybe your AF was due to be late this month, are you still going to be testing? if so when?

I don't know how you managed a baby shower :( and to last until on your way home to cry, I feel for you, that must have been horrendous putting on a 'happy for you' face! I don't think I'd have managed! fingers crossed for you this month, we all need some luck very soon don't we!!

take care, hope you're feeling a bit better... xx

wowza, trying to dtd at a time of night before we get tired is almost impossible with a 9 year old in and out the bedroom, his dvd player broke so he's using his xbox, it wouldn't work, it kept freezing, it's switching itself off yada yada haha! anyway deed done for the night, it was a lot different to normal! a lot of jumping up and down.....not of the usual sort though, Wink eventful I'd say!!

OP posts:
MrsAnderson22 · 02/09/2013 00:48

oh, my plan is this...if I get a bfp (fx!) I hope to keep it from my husband until 22nd September which is our 1st year wedding anniversary! I hope to poas and put it in my husbands card!! that is obv if I am pregnant BUT also if I can keep it a secret apart from on here of course :) xx

cheesysmile · 02/09/2013 10:56

Hey ladies, I've been off line for a few days as out and about. Hope ur all well and yay for the +ve opk mrsa.

My first af post mc was fine, only lasted 3 days, one of which was pretty light. Not gonna start dtd for ttc purposes until at least cd10 or 11 this month I think and will start opks from a similar time. CD 5 today.

Good luck everyone, lets hope we see some bfps soon.

Mrsrv if your not due til Fri don't count yourself out yet, you never know. FX for you.

MrsAnderson22 · 02/09/2013 23:43

aaah disaster!!!! ovulating today, im cramping something chronic from right hand side....and hubby decides it's the right time to be struck down by man flu....snotting and sneezing, the works! so hopefully last night was enough and tomorrow if I pump him full of nose spray and tablets ;)
