We have been TTC for 8 cycles now and still nothing so this month feeling all positive again after af arrived I decided to start temping and and get taking charge of your fertility and sperm meets egg plan. But of course you need to get opk's df doesn't like them and thinks that it's just too planned!

I was so bloody tempted to buy them today but I know I would feel bad.

The only real time we have for TTC is the weekend with df works night shift and I work weekends but ridiculous hour's we have a ds already who is now 3

Sorry needed to vent a little!

Why is he against them? My dp never wants to know when my fertile time is in case the pressure gets to him. But he isn't against me knowing, just so long as he's kept in the dark so it doesn't feel planned. Maybe if you try to convince him to let you do it but keep it a secret from him? Sorry can't be more help.

I would say its your body so your choice, he doesn't have to know the results. There are other ways to tell anyway so OPKs aren't strictly speaking needed, just reassuring.

I think it's also the pressure, I just don't get it!

I'm not even getting a chance to tempt now either in the morning. Ds keeps waking up during the nite and coming into our room!

I didn't tell DH when I started using OPKs - I didn't want him to feel like I only wanted to DTD because it was the right time. If he had asked I would have told him, but there was no point stressing him about it :)

However if you can only DTD at the weekend, is there any point in you monitoring? Personally I'd be so frustrated if I got a positive OPK on say Tuesday, as I know I ov 2 days after positive, I'd rather not know!

I guess monitoring is just so I know when it's happened really but I have bought opk's today, he said he forgot about them when I asked again.
