25/26 day cycle?

Hello, i ws on depo jab for 7 years. Came off it and waited 7 months for af to arrive which it did 11 th - 14th july. This was a 'proper' period. Reasonably heavy . I was expecting to have to wait a while for another one to arrive - yesterday (day25) i had brownish pinkish discharge and today af is here again. So that makes for a 25/26 day cycle. Early days yet but we are ttc so want to give us the best cjance. Am i right to think ovulation is usually 14 days before day of next period? So in this case 29th july?

Hello, I was on the depo for just under 2 years. I came off it in November 2011, I got my first period in June 2012. Then nothing for 2 months, they came back to an irregular cycle in August 2012. I started jotting down my dates in November and became pretty regular (28 days) in Feb 2013. Bfp in July 2013!!

My point is you may want to give it a few more months before you are able to determine your cycle length. Hth

On your specific question about ovulation, everybody is slightly different. Doctors use 14 as an average, mine was 12 and I've known people where is can be anything between 9 and 17. You'll need to use OPKs and take your temps to figure out exactly where in your cycle ovulation is happening for you

Thank you. I am going to tryto leave it a few months to 'settle' and see what happens. But i have toyed with the idea of opk's. I will be 36 this month so think i should maybe plan a bit more....
