My partner and I have been TTC since May. I seem to have had regular 28 day cycles since then, was due to come on 1st Aug but nothing has arrived. Felt like I was going to come on, cramps which felt like period pain the day before and the day I was due on.

I haven't noticed any other symptons whatsoever, is it possible to be pregnant even though I don't feel it at all? I really want to test but think I'll be really disappointed if it's negative so don't want to do it too soon!

Wow, so you got all them BFN's before a BFP? Did you have any other symptoms other than no AF? x x

I must have had about 15 BFN - seriously!!! Grin

I was testing for 8 days before my period was even due Grin - I had no reason to think I was pregnant except for the fact I was trying to be!!

I eventually got my BFP late Saturday afternoon when my period was due on the Sunday!!

I just refused to take no for an answer!!!! Grin

How long were you trying for? Has the LO arrived yet?

There's definitely hope for me yet then, I've never been this late before, a day late, maximum! xx

I had exactly the same experience- very regular cycle, then a missed period with slight cramping but no other symptoms. In my case I was indeed pregnant, and now have a DD!

Do the test! Good luck, keeping fingers crossed for you :)

Looking forward to hearing how the 2nd test goes, good luck!!!

Thanks SoftSheen, I know everyone is different but it is nice to hear people have been through this with a happy outcome! x

It was our first month of trying actually Grin

(yes, I'm one of those annoying people)

I think that's why I was obsessively testing.....I was just so excited at the prospect of being pregnant!!! Grin

I had been using the Mirena Coil for contraception and when it was removed I was told it could take up to 6 months for my endometrium lining to build itself back up to a thickness that would enable it to to hold a fertilised egg. So even though we were TTC and I was manically poas I didn't actually think I would be!!

So when the BFP came on our first month of trying we were Gob Smacked. I told my husband over the phone and after about 10 long seconds of silence he just said, "Bloody hell!!!"

Currently 6+4 Grin

iwantalittleone · 06/08/2013 22:09

Oh wow how exciting and so lucky! Congratulations!

I am going to have to get used to all this lingo, 6+4 - 6 weeks 4 days? Blush

I don't know how I've managed to stay cool and waited this long before testing to be honest, it really does take over the brain! x

Yep, 6 weeks and 4 days. That's based on my last period dates though and presumed ovulation, so I could be more or less.

I'm having a scan next Wednesday (paid privately) because me and Hubby are too excited and can't wait until our 12 week one and so I'm hoping they might be able to date it more accurately.

You're right - it does take over the brain. I was like a woman obsessed. We know how lucky we are as we only had sex 3 times over an 8 day fertile period. It's a good job it did happen so quickly for us as I fear that if I'd been on the TTC journey for any longer I would have ended up being sectioned!!

We just have our fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly Smile

iwantalittleone · 07/08/2013 11:20

You will have to let us know how your scan goes on Weds then and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you also!

Didn't test today, holding out til Sat, couldn't face the BFN feeling again today! xx

Still no BFP! 9 days late now, not sure what's going on, or what to do!

Had two babies. No symptoms with either apart from missed period. Also doctors test said not pregnant but home kit said yes. Not everyone gets sickness. Good luck.
