Can I test your brains a bit more? AF is due on Wednesday (well, Tues-Thurs, not sure exactly which day she'll show!), and my bbt has been steadily rising for the last three days so it's now higher than at ovulation. I thought it should be staying roughly constant or coming down? Really confused as to what's going on Confused

Day before O: 35.9
Day of O: 36.3
1 DPO: 36.2
2 DPO: 36.2
3 DPO: 36.5 (discounted as took at a funny time)
4 DPO: 36.0
5 DPO: 36.1
6 DPO: 36.1
7 DPO: 36.0
8 DPO: 36.2
9 DPO: 36.5
10 DPO: 36.7

Posted on the other thread. It doesn't have to stay constant and it won't go gradually down, most likely it will suddenly drop from one day to the next

These temps don't look like you ovulated when you said you did. It shows a rise at 9dpo. Could ovulation have been delayed? Is your thermometer working ok?

RaRaZ · 04/08/2013 11:34

I don't think so Blueamber ; there's no reason for it to have been, and my CM and CP is all wrong - though I agree it kinda looks like that. I've had all my post-ov symptoms as well Confused and I've got terrible PMT.

Just to clear this up,your highest post O temp isn't always the one immediately after O, its common for post O temps to fluctuate both up and down but the average of them should be above the pre O temps. Hence why the pattern and not the overall temps is important.

Ahh! Ok, I get you Smile. Thanks very much Merkin!

RaRaZ, my temps tend to do the same thing - I am always 0.1 or 0.2 celcius higher just before AF arrives, than I am on the day I ovulate. This has been a consistent pattern for me over a number of months, and OPKs and CM back up the BBT signs of ovulation so I am pretty sure its right. I think it is more about the overall pattern than individual temperatures.
