101 things you do that probably won't work but you do anyway

So after DTD today I went to the bathroom to "help myself along" sorry DP and then laid on the floor for 20 minutes with my legs in the air!
My reasons, I read orgasm after sex helps push sperm closer to the cervix and laying down reduces leakage.
My rational side tells me doing this probably won't help me conceive but if it can't harm then I'm going to do it.

So dont leave me feeling crazy, what possibly silly things do you do before/during/after DTD to get pregnant?

I was told by a colleague to stick my legs up in the air for 20 minutes post sex Part of me brushed it off as being an Old Wives Tale but I did it anyway and we got a BFP our first month of trying!!

I must say, I don't get your logic. You get up to go to the bathroom first and then lie down to reduce leakage?

You're right though, these things dont work and take some of the fun out of dtd for you and dp; it's easy to get too obsessive over ttc.

Lol blueamber, very true although to be honest I stayed where I was for 5 mins and whilst running to the bathroom did the strongest pelvic floor ever to keep everything in! God I'm loosing the plot!

The whole leakage thing makes no sense to me. Iv read it's the fluid that comes out not sperm but Is the sperm within the fluid? Surely it can't separate that quickly?
My biology knowledge is pretty rubbish but I'm not taking any chances, if it comes out of him it's staying in me lol

I would do a lot to get pregnant but I do refuse to take the fun and intimate out of making love to my oh... So I just starting checking my ovulation and we do loads of dtd and I even laid with leg up for like 5 minutes after dtd this afternoon, but I think making a baby should be a lovely and fun "event" :)

It's mostly liquid. The swimmers go into the cervix and up the Fallopian tubes immediately. If there's any in the liquid, it's the ones that are too slow or have something wrong with them.

the sperm swim in seminal fluid. when they are inside you they swim towards the cervix. what comes out is just seminal fluid
all the decent swimmers hav started going in the right direction!
