Pregnant 2.5 weeks after ERPC? Has anyone else got pregnant so soon?

Hi

I just wondered if anyone else has been pregnant so quickly after an ERPC or is it just wishful thinking, I had the op on the 15th Aug. I had no bleeding after the op so me and DH got back to it straight away (partly because wanted to try again, partly to take my mind of how upset I was). On monday I had a tiny smear of blood and from then on Ive got a metallic taste in my mouth (which comes and goes), I am also feeling so tired (had to have a 30 min lie down this morning after 10 hours interupted sleep). Can anyone please advise me how soon I should do a pregnany test, any advice/reassurance would be great, I feel emtionally exhausted after the events of last month.

it's certainly not impossible! but it can take your body a while to adjust after mc and the symptoms could be a sign of your hormones trying to get themselves back to normal.

Did you get a negative pregnancy after your mc so you know it just isn't hormones taking a while to leave your system? everyone is different but it took me four weeks to get a negative pg test after mc.

I got pg two DAYS after a D&C - which I think is the same thing??

Did you get a negative test after the ERPC? If so then sounds very possible. Unfortunately it took me 6 weeks to get a negative test. Have you done a test? Fingers crossed this is a new pregnancy xx

Bumble how many weeks pregnant were you? I had a MC at 8 weeks and it took around 5 weeks to get a negative test afterwards. My first period came 4 weeks after that.

To be pregnant with symptoms now you'd have to have ovulated within a couple of days of your ERPC which seems unlikely - but stranger things have happened!

I suppose the only way to know is by testing now and then repeating in a week until either you get a negative test or stronger positive tests. If you want to splash out you could use clear blue digitals and see whether the weeks go up or down.

Well it happened to me! I , MC-ed though - apparently after a D&C, the lining of the womb often isn't thick enough to support a pg.
