Still no AF after implant removed

DH and I have started TTC, I had my implant removed 11th June and still haven't had a period. I've had symptoms including sore breasts and some achey cramps about 3 weeks ago and still nothing and all the symptoms have disappeared! I've done 3 tests and all BFN. I'm just looking for other people's experiences really, and advise on what I should do. Should I speak to a doctor? When I had the implant removed I was told that it would be out of my system completely within a week but that I was fertile immediately. Before the inplant my periods were so regular i could time them. The information leaflet that came with the test states you should test every 3 days until AF arrives or you get a BFP.

Appreciate any advice - this is all new to me!

I waited 155 days in total from Implant out to first AF I'm now waiting for AF no.2 after 6 weeks I'm getting a little impatient. My GP told me to come back after 6 months with no AF. He said a year was not unusual..?!
It's not nice waiting. I recommend treating yourself to some of the EBay HPTs. I bought 30 and used them all but tried to allow myself only one a week in the end.
I hope you get yours sooner than I did Smile

I have a feeling the 'you're back to normal in 72 hours' is an exaggeration or that after those 72 hours your body's natural lack of regularity becomes apparent..
Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be much official information or research about 'after implant removal'.

I agree there is hardly any advice or information. I've read so many conflicting messages that other people have been told. I'm trying so hard to not worry but it's very difficult. I've made an appt to speak with the nurse for advice. I've heard that you can get pregnant before AF arrives but it makes timing and understanding your cycle very hard!
Fingers crossed for both of us!

Hiya - I had my implant removed on 8th May. From 12th July to the 16th i had a tiny amount of brown discharge/mucus - Not sure what that was about. Still waiting for AF to arrive - I've been POAS at least 2 times a week since implant removal. All BFN so far. I've just caved and bought some OPK's so if/when i ovulate I will know when to test so I can stop wasting my time/effort/money on POAS and being hopeful about it being a BFP. FWIW when i had mine removed I was told that I would be fertile straight away and I should expect my first bleed 28 days later (depending on cycle length).

I understand how you feel - It's so frustrating and I just wish before I had it put in you have a bit more in depth information about conception after removal - Because if I knew it could take months for AF to appear i would of had it taken out a lot earlier ...
