Just went to ring clearblue customer care but they shut at 3 grrr.

In summary: day 1 of testing (cd6) on advanced digi I got a blank circle

Cd 7 - 10 flashing circles
Cd 11-13 (today is 13) fixed

Today as intended, the fixed disappeared but I decided to test again thinking it would be back to blank circle, ie ovulation has taken place.

But quickly the fixed reappeared and on inspection of the test lines, the result line is Wayyy darker (darkest its ever been) of control line.

What's going on?! 4 days of highs 4 days of fixed?!

Would you say it's darker than on cd11? Maybe your body is just taking longer to start ovulation. What about your other signs? DO you still get ewcm? Have you checked your cervix?

Try not to worry and just continue dtd every other days for a bit longer! Using OPKs can get too stressful if you're not careful.

Wait, I just read that the line is darker than the control line, but with the advanced OPk there isn't a control line! There is one for oestrogen and one for LH. Are you perhaps misreading the lines?

Ahh crap maybe Blush either way the left hand line (nearest the wee tip!) has always been light/er compared to the one on the right. The left one is now darker than the right one. What does that all mean?!

Ah, ok. Well the left line, near the wee stick is indeed the LH. The right line, near the plastic angled end is the oestrogen. When I first got a fixed smiley my LH was still lighter than the oestrogen line and I did not ovulate. Last week, the LH line was darker than the oestrogen when I got the fixed.

You tested on an afternoon, so probably catching the upsurge of the LH, just enough to trigger the fixed smiley. If you had tested on the morning of cd12 instead, you would have had your fixed then. Then today would have been the second day of your fixed, which means that you're still right in the middle of the LH surge. It makes sense you're getting a strong line now.

So keep dtd and try to relax and have fun Smile. If you're dtd regularly, every other day, you will not miss ov, especially if you keep going for a few days after your fixed smiley.

Yes that makes lots of sense thanks blue. I vowed to not get ridiculous about all of this and I'm cross with myself for being so, but for some reason I can't stop myself. But yes, we've dtd every other day from cd7 so hoping that pattern continues we'd be dtd today anyway so we'll see x

It's difficult finding that balance in the beginning I think. It's just so exciting but also nerve-racking ttc!
