I need encouragement

Af just got me this morning and I thought this was our month as I had spotting 2 wks ago now. This is heading into our 9th cycle and I've got to the stage I can't take anymore disappointment I can't imagine how other people that have been trying for a lot longer.

OP I really sympathise, I was trying for 18 months, including actively charting cycles for 7. It's a rollercoaster of hope and despair, and I found some cycles much harder than others. I think lots of people join the conception forums on here for support of people going through the same thing precisely because it is so tough,and you want to give up and carry on at the same time each time AF arrives.
I would recommend finding a forum on here you can join for support. Good luck

I'm in a really similar situation. AF got me last night and I was really hoping this was our month This will be our 9th cycle too. Before this month I haven't got too down about AF arriving and just thought "it'll happen next month" but for some reason it's really upset me this time. Hopefully it'll be our month next month. Fx for us both!

Sorry af got u fox it really hit me hard this month aswell I've not been too bad since the beginning but the first month was the worst.

Bizarrely, it does get easier. I think the first 12 months or so are the hardest, as you are hoping so much every month. But hopefully you won't need to find that out for yourself!

How long have u been TTC euro?

10 months TTC here (a bit disrupted for the first three as I had a terrible time with anxiety and didn't have a period for one-two cycles - plus had recurrent thrush at the same time to really put the icing on the cake). Horrible AF at the mo, and while I have found i'm getting used to the disappointment, it is hard. I keep scaring myself with possible infertility causes.
Don't know if you're feeling the same, but I seem to be surrounded by fertile people - there are even a pair of pigeons nesting in our balcony as if to taunt me!
Today I feel like it's never ever going to happen. Other days I'm more optimistic.
My friend sent me a picture of me holding her baby and it just looks wrong

You aren't alone, OP. TTC is by far the most emotional thing I've ever gone through. Each month I feel like quitting, but then the next day I feel quietly optimistic again for no reason other than blind hope. I've just started cycle 14. Merkin's advice to join a thread is a good one. The ladies on the Elderberry thread have saved my sanity more than once. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you

Thanks I'm really feeling pretty awful about things just now. I have decided to start temping which I started today I'm hoping this will help!

Sorry Sidney that you have been TTC for so long, I think I will join a thread some extra support would be nice.
Brodica sorry af got u, I just got mine on sun after convincing myself I was pg this month! I know what you mean about everyone else around you being pg or with babies.
