Ovulation is there an EXACT day

Looking on ovulation calendar websites and apps lol plus I've been testing with the ovulation sticks how spot on are they my sticks are now flashing with a smiley face the clear blue ones. Some calendars are saying I'm ovulating tomorrow yet some say next Tuesday. Just DTD (sorry you don't need that info). Could this be it I hope so.

The calendars just work off averages. The sticks detect the hormone surging before ov, so are based on what your actual body is doing.

But the best thing is to just dtd throughout your fertile period as sperm can live for a few days.

Usually when the stick is positive you will ovulate within a day or so. Once you get the smiley face then you need to get to business asap.
if you want to know when it is over for that month you can try the temping method alongside the apps and sticks. Your basal body temperature increases very slightly after ovulation and when that happens you know your fertile period is finished. However temping is a pain. If you are in your first six months of ttc just have sex three times a week. That way there will always be some sperm up there do it doesn't matter exactly when you ovulate

Calendars aren't accurate at all. The opk is quite accurate. A flashing smiley Means your oestrogen levels are rising, which will eventually stimulate an lh surge. You can get your fixed smiley, indicating this lh surge, any time within 2-5 days or sometimes a bit longer. When you get your fixed,ov will happen within 12-36 hours. It's best to dtd in the days up to ov, so every other day during your flashing and fixed smilies.

However, in some cases even though you get a fixed you might not ovulate, for instance if you have just come off the pill. Don't worry about that though.
