Would like to hear from.others about their experiences. I am 35, ttc 1st child. Was on depo around 7yrs. Last jab sept 2012, didn't have the one due 6th dec and none since.

No AF the whole time i was on depo. 1st period this month - it was a proper 4 - 5 day with 2 heavyish days (2 + 3) so am happy about that! (was starting to worry....) Had initial blood tests in may for hormone levels - all ok.

So, just wondering how soon you got proper cycles back and how soon you got your bfp!

Trying to take the relaxed approach (no opk etc and dtd when we fancy) but aware that time is not on my side and wondering if i should take a more scientific approach?

Thanks.

I was on the depo for 10+ years and it took about as many months for period, but then we weren't TTC straight away. You say you're being relaxed about it but as you've posted, if you're anything like me, I think you'll be more so if you know you are ovulating. Invest in an OV KIT, they are pricey but it will give you knowledge to act on. After a few months you have a good idea of when/ if you're ovulating so you don't need to buy one every time.
At 35 it's not time to worry, but any GP you visit will ask if you've been ovulating (post depo) and DTD around then so you may as well have the answer! good luck
