Spotting for the first time

My cycles are 29-31 days and I'm now on CD 26. Me and DH have been ttc for 8 months and I'm starting to feel a bit down now that it feels like it's never going to happen.

TMI... Yesterday and today I've had spotting and slight cramps. Yesterday light brown and today darker brown. I've worn a liner but it's not really enough for a liner - I could've gone without. I've NEVER had spotting before. Always just start my period with no real symptoms, just slight bloating and a warm feeling in my tummy, and it comes full force! The last couple of days of AF are usually spotting but never at the beginning.

I just did a superdrug test and bfn . Is there any way AT ALL that any of this could be a good sign? I'm guessing probably not as although implantation bleeding is possible I would've thought the superdrug test would've picked up a bfp at this point

Any advice or anyone been in a similar situation? Thanks!

How many days past ovulation do you think you are? If 5-7 there is a chance it could be implantation bleeding, although this is rarer than people think. If later than that I would expect it to be the start of your period. Still, you never know - even with spotting I never give up hope until AF starts properly.

At CD26 you are still 3 days before the end of your shortest cycle of 29 days and 5 days before the end of your longer 31 day cycles. That's pretty early for a BFP.

It's possible that it's a good sign. I had spotting with both of mine at about 6-7 weeks and wasn't sure if it was a period or not. Wait a bit and do another test, or go to the doc. Good luck!

Sorry I meant 5-10 dpo for implantation bleeding.

I had what I think was implantation bleed at 5-7 dpo with cramps and that warm intense cramp like feeling at 8dpo. I then had cramp on Monday and I was due af but nothing!

I think I'm 11 dpo so probably not a good sign then as sounds like implantation would be earlier thanks for all taking the time to reply
