I've only been TTC for 2 months this week is build up to ovulation and I am a crazy women its all I think about lol been with my OH 10 years and he said he's seen a different side of me. I'm not pregnant yet but I'm emotional grumpy and just obsessed with getting pregnant. I am totally aware it might not happen straight away I don't think I will cope. Any body else become obsessed like this. I'm embarrassed to admit I've took loads of pregnancy tests I no I'm insane.

Honestly? I had 2years TTC, then had DD before another 2years TTC before having DS. I don't think I turned into a crazy lady, sometimes stressed and sad but never crazy.

Sarahmains40...I FEEL EXACTLY THE SAME!!! just started ttc, had a week's worth of unprotected sex 15 days ago...and have taken 6 tests so far even though i know it's way too early! Every single twinge or sneeze is a pregnancy symptom! I am obsessed!!! So dont worry...you're not alone! xxx

Neecole13 · 26/07/2013 10:49

I'm a crazy lady about it all and haven't even properly started ttc yet! Feeling your pain haha

beela · 26/07/2013 14:00

I started off as a crazy lady (month 1 & 2) and then realised that it wasn't going to happen over night and I needed to just calm down and get on with the rest of my life.

Now on month 5 and feeling much more normal (apart from the occasional visit to the conception furum Wink)

RaspberrySnowCone · 26/07/2013 15:03

Wait till you been going 4 years - you'll be batshit mental. Bit like me Grin. Tis exciting when you first start trying but try not to focus on it too much or you'll make it worse. Just shag like crazy and do lots of fun things.

Writerwannabe83 · 26/07/2013 16:06

I was totally mental!!!

Thankfully we got pregnant from our first month of trying, but during that 2 week wait of wondering if my period was going to arrive, I was going crazy!!

I started taking pregnancy tests a week before my period was due and I was taking 2 every day!!! I knew I was crazy but I couldn't stop!!

When I got my positive result I then took another 10 tests over the space of 2 days 'just to make sure'

TTC is crazy stuff!!!

fifi669 · 26/07/2013 17:24

You're not alone. 90% of us TTCers are certified nut jobs Grin

MrsCorre · 26/07/2013 18:39

Just seen this thread and I'm actually chuckling to myself. I think I am pretty much there with you guys (in the nut job sense). This is my second month ttc first was rather half hearted but some kind of primal crazy instinct has come over me....I HAVE to get pregnant NOW!! Am on day 4 of AF and desperatly counting the seconds to get going again for August. Am trying to hide my loopiness from my husband so when I found this post I smiled with delight (a vent yay!). God help it when I am in the 2ww I may combust or just stock buy preg tests to do every few hours haha.

Ps raspberrysnowcone....batshit mental comment had me in stitches!!!!

Bunnygirlie · 26/07/2013 18:43

Woah there, you can't be crazy yet, too soon! See what you are like on month 15 like me!

Writerwannabe83 · 26/07/2013 18:44

eBay is the way forward for pregnancy tests!! I got about 10 of them for just under £5!!!! Grin

It is good deals like that which fuel the craziness..... Grin

MrsCorre · 26/07/2013 19:31

I heard poundland do them too....may start a stockpile!

In all fairness this is my third time round now. DS and DD were conceived after about 12 months so I guess I am hoping third time round will be a little quicker as my youngest are just at the right age to hopefully welcome a third and final sibling. Poor hubbie will be sick and tired of dtd by the end of this month haha. BunnyGirl....it will happen when you least expect! Was giving up hope a little when ttc'ing for my 2nd as had bad pregnancy with first resulting in a premmie so thought I may be jinxed then it just happened.

This is my first experience of having fellow crazy ttc'ers to ride the journey with though which is fab! Anyone here using ovulation digi tests I'm pretty regular cycle wise but am a little unsure as to when I exactly am ov'ing? Is the calculator on here pretty accurate?

Sarahmains40 · 26/07/2013 21:51

Thank god I'm not the only one. I don't me to sound disrespectful to ladies who have been trying for a long time. I can't help it its like every hormone in me is going wild. I hate being so obsessive it's my personality I'm like this over every thing lol I do know it could take a while to fall pregnant and then once I am pregnat I have to wait nine months hope you all get BFP soon!!!!!

OP posts:
fifi669 · 26/07/2013 23:01

I'm exactly the same, i'm so impatient that the 9 months seems like a lifetime, plus when you add on TTC...... how has someone not managed to condense pregnancy to 3 months yet?

RaspberrySnowCone · 26/07/2013 23:09

Grin tis my favorite saying Mrscorre

Justpenny · 27/07/2013 09:53

Right, I think Im actually losing the plot! My period is due around 31st ish...am not like clockwork but its normally the end of the month ish. Anyway, I feel really off, the last two days I've conked out on the sofa mid afternoon and had a half hour nap, have had headaches, a bit like deydration headaches but have been drinking loads of water so know it's not that, and last night I threw up my dinner. Am roasting hot, and feel car sick all of the time. I did my 7th test yesterday afternoon and it was negative AGAIN :( Am i right in thinking that would be too soon to test anyway??? Last night I had a weird pulling sensation in the left side of my abdomen that lasted for about half an hour...and this morning i feel really bloated and heavy and just 'yuk'. What do you guys think??? Could i be?? Or is my over active imagination playin tricks on me????? Also, yesterday, my back was really REALLY sore...i genuinely cant figure out if this is just positive thinking???? HELP ME!! haha! :) xx

Writerwannabe83 · 27/07/2013 11:03

I didn't get my BFP until the afternoon of the day before my period was due - however, during the week leading up to that I had 2 days where I felt absolutely drained. I couldn't stop yawning, I felt like I had no energy and I was having early nights and falling straight to sleep. I was also having dull headaches.

Fingers crossed for you x x

Justpenny · 27/07/2013 11:07

oh my god i hope so! did a test yesterday at about 5pm, it was negative so im not bothering doin one today...but i feel really off, tired, sick...i've got EVERYTHING crossed!!! :) xxxx

Justpenny · 27/07/2013 11:49

I caved and did another one...and another bfn :( im so stupid for checking again xx

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/07/2013 12:05

justpenny ...not doing one today eh? (smile) I know just how you ladies all feel. 1st month ttcfist child and am ALL over the place. Veering between relaxed (or trying to be) and batshit crazy (to coin a phrase)

Last night i had lower left side pain and nausea bad enough for me to go a lay on the bed and ve unable to read or look at MN! Not due af til 7th aug!!

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/07/2013 12:06

Why can't i Smile ??

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/07/2013 12:07

Oh i can. Smile

Justpenny · 27/07/2013 12:44

Haha! I caved! :) I felt exactly the same last night, lower left side pain and had to lie down cos the room was spinning...i felt car sick even tho i was just sitting there! I HATE WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!! :) xxx

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/07/2013 13:10

Ah well a place we can be crazy together. I don't even know if my cycle is regular as only had one af since coming off depo, which started 11th july. So assuming its a 28day cycle i have dtd only twice at the appropriate time. Odds are stacked againste but hey ho, maybe i take after my mum who only had to dtd once to get preggers!
