Sleeping on the wet side

Been ttc #1 for two years but still got some basic questions.
I've seen others posting saying they are concerned by how much sperm leaks out after dtd. Technically this is the fluid that carries the swimmers, not the swimmers themselves.... but doesn't that mean the fluid is carrying those little fellas away from their goal and on to the mattress ?
The legs above the head or pillow under the bum trick is all very well but it's not really conducive to the "hey relax, don't obsess" mind set that is supposed to miraculously get me updiffed.

So which is the best option, sleep with my arse in the air for the next couple of years or sleep in the wet patch?

The former I'd have thought.

putting your legs up doesnt do anything! the decent swimmers go to where they should be, eg swimming towards the cervix.

all that comes out is the seminal fluid (as you said) so you may as well go for the wet patch!

I read last night that putting your legs up doesn't help as when you raise your legs your pelvic bone moves to accommodate the legs but your cervix etc its still all in the same place lol I've been laying down for about 30 mins after just in case lol it can't harm trying. I'm so obsessed with becoming pregnant I've even thought of doing a hand stand but I'm not that strong to stay there for more than 10 seconds lol

This is a very educational thread!

Good luck OP.

The wet patch! The swimmers are well on their way up your cervix before anything leaks so don't worry!

I put my legs in the air after sex. I was advised to do this by a woman at work who had used this method after years of struggling to conceive. She said having her legs in the air for half an hour is what caused to her eventually have her daughter.

So, I took her advice and after sex I'd lie on my back and put my legs up against the bedroom wall and stay there for at least 20 minutes!! I noticed that there was definitely less leakage when I eventually turned myself up the right way.

I'm not saying it worked but me and hubby got our BFP the first month of trying Smile

It can't hurt, so why not try it??? Smile

Good luck x x
