CD30 and still no AF, how long should I wait?!

So basically the above question. I've been off the pill since 2nd march, my periods have been heavy and monthly, but one of my first ones didn't start until CD35 a couple of months ago. I don't want to jinx myself but should I give it another week or two before POAS?

You're talking to a forum of women who are obsessed with POAS!!! - me definitely included!!! Grin

If I were you I'd have done it yesterday never mind in another week or two!! Grin

I began to POAS a week before my period was due and even when I got a BFP I still took another 10 tests to confirm it Grin

x x

The last time I poas I was in cd35, and af started. That's why I'm wondering whether to wait until after then...? So frustrating, but don't want to waste pg tests and curse my chances Grin

I ordered my pregnancy tests of Ebay - I got about ten of them for £5. Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 23/07/2013 22:17

I wasn't too bothered about wasting them at that price Grin

I did splash out on Clear Blues though when my cheapo tests gave BFPs - I just needed to make sure it was a definite BFP with a well known, trusted brand Smile

Wow that is cheap! I've only been buying the cheap supermarket ones, but I'm wondering do I be patient or shall I go for it Grin would I have any symptoms this early on?

OP posts:

My symptoms were that about a week before my AF was due I was weeing all the time!!! I was in and out the toilet and even though I wasn't drinking any more than normal, my wees were still really long despite the fact I was going every 1-2hours, haha Smile

Also, my AF was due the Saturday/Sunday just gone and the previous Monday/Tuesday I felt absolutely exhausted for no reason. I couldn't stop yawning and felt drained. This lasted about 2 days.

But really, those were the only things that made me suspicious x x

K8eee · 24/07/2013 12:06

See, I have been weeing a lot, but I am drinking slightly more than normal with all this hot weather, but sweating it out so I'm a bit unsure. That, and I'm smelling things others aren't. Still no sign of af, I'm gonna wait a few more days I think Hmm

And I've felt shattered, but I'm not sure if that's from work, the heat or possible pg :-/

Still no signs. Any odd symptoms I could look out for?

The symptom you are looking for is 2 lines on a stick Grin
You won't know til you POAS, early pregnancy symptoms can be confused with pre AF symptoms (ie they are hormonal). And POAS won't curse your chances, either there is an embryo or there isn't! FX and good luck

They do say take the day of your longest cycle and then test, so it would be cd35 for you. It increases the chances of getting a valid result. There's no harm in testing early, but there is still a chance of getting a false negative.

K8eee · 25/07/2013 09:28

Grin Thanks Merkin!

Blue, that's what I was thinking of doing. I was counting down the days last time when I had my 35 day cycle so I think I'll wait to test on Monday or sometime next week.

I came off implant in may, had period on day 35. I'm on day 34 of this cycle. Have been convinced for 2 weeks I'm pregnant - early cramps when you get implantation cramps, boobs have been really tingly and feeling full and sensitive, and totally constipated for a week (which I had with baby 1 just before I found out). I've done 3 tests though and all negative - I know 2 were but early but this morning was def negative. Have I tested too early still? Or have I driven myself mad symptom spotting and actually I'm forgetting how crap Pms can be (and does it last that long?).

Sorry if I've hijacked a bit, but was thinking same as you!

theborrower · 27/07/2013 17:46

Should also say, I tested positive w baby 1 on day 35, which is why I'm thinking I'd probably know by now

K8eee · 27/07/2013 18:23

Well I have found out yesterday morning I am pregnant! Smile
