I know a lot of people on here have taken it. I just wanted to know how many cycles it took to work and what dose were you on? I just feel like hearing a few positive stories.

I just had one of those sinking moments when I read a thread with someohe saying they were 6 months pregnant and I realsied thats what I would have been if I didn't have a miscarriage.

Hi, DH and me have been TTC since a year now, our reports are all normal, doc says it?s unknown infertility problem so she put me on 1st round 50 mg of Clomid (day 3-7)., I have a regular 28 Days cycle and I O?d on the 14th day of my cycle( Did OPK and charting) . I didn?t have any side effect of clomid all the while neither on the day I O?d .. I am right now on CD22 and since the CD 18 I have been having cramping and tingle in my tummy, it usually shifts side mostly on the left side, the cramping lasts for about 30-40 seconds. Also occasional cramp or pull on bbs like a sharp shooting one. Apart from this is have no other symptoms like nausea or anything a little tired & lazy not much though.. I do have sudden heartburn.
I am really getting hopeful, is this implantation cramps are like?

Hi everyone!

I'm new at this... I've read blogs similar to this for months but just now decided to share my story to maybe get some advice. :)

Here's a little background on my story and my cycle...
I'm 26 years old (17 in Sept) and my husband is 27 years old. We got married in July 2011. We've been open and ready to have kids but haven't actively tried until now. I have never had my period in my life. Well, I bled once when I was 16 but it only lasted one day, and that was the only time. My doctors said it was probably because I was active and involved with sports. No tests were done. When I was 18, I finally got put on birth control to regulate my cycles. I successfully got periods every month.

A quick run down on my cycle and fertility:
*NEVER got my period
*Age 18-26 - Took OrthoTriclyclen BC pills to get my period
*November 2011 - Went off BC pills (not trying but not avoiding/unprotected for 9 months, never pregnant)
*March 2012 - Never got period while OFF BC pills so went to OBGYN
*March 2012 - Blood Work (about 10 different tests) resulted in the assumption that I do not ovulate and that I have 2 symptoms of PCOS; absent period and slightly higher levels of testosterone (doctor said it wasn't significant, but was high)
*March 2012 - Took first cycle of Provera (2x/5 days)to jumpstart my period- success. Got period 6 days after finishing pills. I was to take Provera every 3 months to "clean" myself out.
*June 2012 - Second cycle of Provera (2x/5 days) - success. Got period 7 days after taking last pill of Provera.
*July 2012 - Third cycle of Provera (2x/5days) - success. Got period 7 days after taking last pill of Provera. [I didn't wait 3 months after last Provera cycle because we wanted to start Clomid to begin TTC more seriously.
*August 2 - Start 50 mg Clomid on CD5 thorugh CD9

I have no idea how long my normal cycle is because it always changes depending on when I take the Provera. I am unable to get my period without any pills. I'm nervous that this will interfere with the Clomid process.

How will I know when the end of my cycle is if my period never comes naturally??

I feel like my scenario is different than most because of my completely absent periods. I am hopeful that Clomid will work but worried what my future will hold if it doesn't... :/ However, my OBGYN/fertility doctor said she would only let me be on Clomid up to 150mg then we'd move right into IUI. She said she understands that when I couple wants a baby that they want them now, not in 2-3 years. I feel like we're in good hands... fingers crossed!

My husband plans to have a sperm analysis test soon. I'm worry about my fullopian tubes being clogged, cysts on my ovaries, everything! I wish I just knew the answers now. Can anyone relate with that?

I also don't want to overreact because we're so early in our process... we've told our close friends and family that we're having issues or may have issues in the future but who knows! It may work the first time around.

THANK YOU all for sharing your success stories and GOOD LUCK to all of you who are TTC!

TheCatInTheHairnet · 02/08/2012 02:50

My Clomid success story is now 11! And my Metformin success story is 9! And the other two that came by freakish chance are a whole other story.....

TheCatInTheHairnet · 02/08/2012 02:57

Sorry, I've just reread the reason this was bumped. I was replying to the original OP.

TheCatInTheHairnet · 02/08/2012 03:29

And having read properly now, I have probably had 40 periods in my life (and and am now in my late 30's) and have 4 kids. Having no periods does not mean you can't have kids. In fact, my Dr at the time told me that the fact that my PCOS had shown itself as no periods was a good thing, as I hadn't put on weight etc etc. So, it was easy to manage.

Also, I know people think this is superstitious nonsense, but if you have any friends who have young babies, go hold them early-mid cycle. I swear, I didn't even mean to do this, but every time I have held newborns when I was ttc, I was instantly pg.

Hi,

I am 28, 5ft 6in and 9 & a 1/2 stone, I have been TTC for 4 years now. I have PCOS and my husband (36) has low count and mobility.

I have done 2 cycles now on 100mg of clomid, unssucceful. i have 4 more cycles to go. I am reading a lot that if it doesnt happen straight away it probably wont happen.
Over the last four years i have tried every diet, position, excerise plan that i've read helps get pregnant, all failed!

I seem to be getting a lot of side effects with the clomid, hot flushes and depression i would say are the worst though.

Is there anything anyone would recommend i try, any hope/chance is better than none????

Thanks

Hello, I just started my first round of clomid and am wanting to hear some success stories! I have been trying for a baby since 2008 with no luck. We have had five m/c's in a row. The last one was on 10/18/13 and was a healthy baby girl. With that being said I am hoping this Clomid works. I started on 50 mg's and on cycle day 3 to day 7. I go for lab work on the 24th of this month so I hope we get good news.

martinadixon1982 · 27/07/2014 09:11

Hi I took clomid for first time 50mg starting 1st July took 6 days worth and just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant so been very lucky to work first round. I did however have 1 session of acupuncture to help with fertility and it made me feel so relaxed straight afterwards and really helped I believe. Good luck everyone and try stay relax as stress lowers progesterone levels baby dust for you all xxx

Hi everyone, I know this is an old post however has some relatively new posts too..
Me and my parter have been ttc for over four years now and seems almost impossible, the amount of pregnancy tests we have been through is unbelievable lol!
finally the doctor prescribed 50mg clomid, i have finished my first round however due to hectic work commitments haven't been able to make any check ups so it's pretty much trial and error right now (which my Doctor is surprisingly enough ok with). So anyway my period is due on the 3rd of December and we are both really praying for a positive pregnancy test this time round. My question is though.. i was going to take a test this Friday (28th November) is that too soon? or should i be ok?
It was great reading all your posts, it did take a long time however lol!
Take care everyone and it would be great to hear back from a few of the people in the older posts to hear how they got on x

I am trying for a baby and yesterday went to the consultant to have fertility test to see if I am ovulating. The consultant told me I would be given clomid to help me ovulate, but this will be after my next appointment which will be in 4 months. I am 41 so don't want to leave things too long, has anyone bought this online? Please help

steph50 · 27/03/2015 16:14

Hi,please do not buy clomid online if you take it without the help of drs you can over stimulate your overies and then you will never have a child. I understand how frustrating it is as i have just been put on clomid after ttc for 10 years.xxx

jusif · 24/08/2017 09:10
