I know a lot of people on here have taken it. I just wanted to know how many cycles it took to work and what dose were you on? I just feel like hearing a few positive stories.

I just had one of those sinking moments when I read a thread with someohe saying they were 6 months pregnant and I realsied thats what I would have been if I didn't have a miscarriage.

Yeah I'm trying to think positive!! It's difficult as me and my husband have been trying for years but now have the help we needed!! I like Reading the success stories makes me feel good about clomid and is nice to know that it's helped so many people xx

Also as I have pcos I have irregular periods does this matter when taking clomid??? X

Hello Ladies!!

I have finished my first month on clomid and have been to the hospital for my cycle tracking. Been this morning and my left side seems to have two folicles which are bigger and hopefully will get even bigger! I go back wednesday for another internal and for them to have another look to see if i am ovulating! so will keep doing the dirty until then lol! I have regualar periods so hopefully my body will just produce enough hormones for me to fall pregnant. I don't want to get my hopes though Hmm. I have recently been suffering hot flushes and my temper seemed very short aswell. But part from that nothing else.

Just over 1/2 way through my first month of 50mg clomid, Positive start but no follicle growth since Weds :( Blood test today to see if it is a long cycle or just no ovulation.

Hello Again!!

Hope you are all well and enjoying Trying!! I have been to the hospital yet again this morning for yet another internal scan! fourth one this month grr and back again on friday!! my folicle is 18mm and my womb lining is thick so its a good sign. So lets hope on friday i am ovulating or ovulated and the trying we have done will pay off!! Smile
I dont want to get my hopes up though because we will be disappointed if nothing happens Sad.
Can anybody give me some advice?

AmyLiz you're a lightweight, I have dildocam number 6 on Friday Wink

Would love to give you some positive new but I am clinging on to hope this month, as I mentioned in the post above. Blood test must have shown there was a teeny bit of hope as I have another scan on Friday but it will be 'CD20'. Out of interest what day are you on?

Vallinnapod I am totally unsure what CD20 is lol!! Am i right in thinking that it is what day of your cycle it is, starting from the first day of your period????

If so then i am on day 15!?

I havent really been explained anything and when i have read through all the above i dont understand have of what people have said!!!

I feel a bit in the dark too - if it wasn't for the internet I would know even less (although maybe that would be a good thing!!)

Bit annoyed at the doctors for not really explaning more. I want to know if I am worrying because I have good cause to, or if it is because I am an idiot Grin

Hi All!!

Hope your all very well and enjoying TTC!! I have been to the hospital again this morning had yet another internal scan Hmm the 18mm folicle which was there Wednesday morning has now gone!!! which means i may have ovulated! i go back next wednesday for my Progestrone blood test to find out if i have!! so everything is crossed!! i am still going to do the dirty though Grin because its all fun!! I just hope i have ovulated! i know ill be very lucky to fall pregnant the first month so i am not getting my hopes up, aslong as i have ovulated it is a start!!! We did the (you know what)tuesday and last night so hopefully we timed it well Smile

Hi, I'm on third cycle of clomid. Day 22 today, went for a blood test yesterday so fingers crossed i have ovulated. Also I went for a smear last week and have been called bcak to have a colposcopy. I'm really worried now! Has anyone else had same experience and do you know if Clomid has that effect on a smear test? My fertility nurse is on holiday and no one else seems to know!

Well I have taken my first lot of clomid it's now been over a week since took my last one! I now have had some stomach cramps and have got really sore nipples! Is this the side effects of clomid?

Hi everyone,
I am due to start Clomid tomorrow - cycle 1 on NHS. I have had clomid for two cycles before but those were unsuccessful. First time around I had headaches and a serious case of depression and ovulated (36.5) though didn't conceive. What's you advice on the frequency of ttc -- and also considering I have varied lengths of cycle - 28 - 38, does Clomid also regulate the length of the cycle to 28 so can I expect to ovulate on CD14?

Hi All,

Had my blood test for progestrone done this morning got to call the hospital on friday for the results so now i am worried that i havent ovulated! Since i started the clomid at the beginning of this month ive experienced hot flushes, mood swings which werent too servere to be honest even though my darling other half would probably tell you differnt! BUT lately i have felt bloated and soooo tired. I don't sleep very well at night because i am too warm or just find myself waking up and staring at the ceiling! I put this down to either the clomid or the fact i have too much on my mind! Does anybody understand where i am coming from? Everywhere i look i see pregnant women, or new born babies! it's beginning to get to me quite alot! i don't want to get my hopes up but then i don't want to think negative either!! anybody got any advice or who feel the same?

Hi AmyLiz23, I also experience hot flushes and mood swings mostly when I am taking the tablets but also for a few days after I have finished.

It is hard... I do try and put it to the back of mind so I don't get my hopes up, which is soooo difficult.

I have been monitoring my tempreature and doing ovulation tests for the first time this month, though have no idea if they work properly because of the tablets.

I should get my results from the blood test tomorrow, so fingers crossed I did ovulate and maybe its just a matter of timing.

Womanlytales: I have been 'doing the deed' at least twice a week and in the middle of my cycle upping to three times. I did see an increase in my temp and a positive ovulation stick this month so hopefully I pinpointed the correct day. Not sure about the regulating of cycle. I go from 28 to 33.

Hi All!!

I have a quick question i am due on next week. a week on sunday to be exact if i have a 28 day cycle as usual! but today i am experiencing a pain which i would usually get when i come on! its not a severe but still uncomfortable! anybody else experienced this?

Hi

I got my results today and it showed that I did ovulate, apparently they look for over 30 and mine was 37.5 (?? have no idea what that means). Day 28 today and been having anything up to 33 day cycles, my boobs hurt but no other signs.

I have been having pains around the middle of my cycle, like dull ache but not in the stomach and not like a period (??)

Hi BULLYFORVIC.. i phoned first thing this morning i was excited! i did actually ovulate! they didnt tell me the actual figures though Confused. yeah it was like a dull ache! all day yesturday i had it! right at the bottom of my abdomen!? My boobs dont hurt though but i am not due on until a week on sunday! so fingers crossed everyone!!!

Hi AmyLiz23 yes came on period on Monday...was gutted! :( Felt like it might have been this month. Well should be thankful that the clomid is working and I have been ovulating! More of the 'business' me thinks!! :)

Have to go for a colposcopy on 15th so have been advised not to take my clomid this month as it would be a waste because you can't have intercourse after the colposcopy.

How about you? Any news?

Well at least you can still do the business up until then! How long have you been on the clomid bullyforvic? Well i am due on saturday.... My boobs are killing and i am sooooo tired its unbelieveable and i was having them pains last weeks were it was a dull ache! i dont think it will be this month though i think its my body playing tricks with my emotions Sad.
