Hello all,

This post is going to make me sound terrible, but I'm really stuck in a rut.

My first question is how accurate is the clear blue conception indicator?

The reason I want to know is going to make me sound like the worst person ever.

Basically I was on the pill and my last period was the 24th of May. It only lasted a day or two and I was with my ex. we broke up on the 8th of June but I slept with him again on the 9th ( thinking we had just had yet another aguement)but not to completion. This man was manipulative and controlling.
Now I had planned to be single but a week later an old friend appered back into my life we went for a few drinks on the 14th and it was magical one thing lead to another and we are now together and stupidly happy. I failed to take the morning after pill until the 18th. Later that day I started to "feel pregnant" which happened the day I conceived my daughter who is now nearly 3. I took a pregnacy test on the 28th of June which came up negative. On the 2nd of July I used clear blue which confirmed I was pregnant and I was 1-2 weeks.

I know this post make me look like one of the worse girls on the planet but I'm really worried that I'm going to have to get in contact with my ex. My partner has made it clear he isn't going anywhere regardless of the outcome, which brings me some comfort.

I just wondered given my circumstances what you other mums out there thought. On another note not sure when I came off my pill, as I was moving house, being diagnosed with depression and a bunch of other drama.

You mean you're not sure who the father is? If your period was 24th May, you'd likely ovulate around the 9th June unless you have a very long cycle... Hmm What do you mean you were on the pill? Have you stopped using it?

Difficult one - if you've come off the pill, your cycles could be irregular and you might not have ovulated when you expected to.

Are you intending to keep the baby regardless? Hope you're ok Flowers

I don't know if you'll know for sure, until baby is born and a dna test is completed. A scan edd can give you an indication of conception date, but not a 100% definate. Given that there were only a few days between
sex with previous partner and this, you can't be sure.

Please don't beat yourself up. This is a position many women have been in, nothing to be ashamed of.

I do think you need to tell previous partner, though unless you want to wit until after baby is born and do dna test.
