How long is my cycle?!?!

I took my last pill 21st June, withdrawal bleed began 24th June and Af arrived today 18th July. Sooo, is my cycle from the day of my last pill until today ie 28 days or from start of withdrawal bleed ie 25 days?!

I would say from the start of the withdrawal bleed. It may take a few months for the cycle to become regular... If you don't fall pregnant.

I should also have said, you may not have ovulated in that cycle, straight off the pill, but probably will in 14 days from today or there abouts!

Really? Surely having a period means I've ovulated I had a positive opk on day 12

You can have a period without ovulating. The hormones controlling your cycle build up the lining of your womb and shed it regardless of ovulation. Period does not = ovulation.
Nor does positive OPK guarantee ovulation. You can have a LH surge (enough to give positive OPK) without actual ovulation. The best method of 'confirming' ovulation at home is through BBT, and the not way to truly know if you have ovulated is through blood tests.
Count first day of your withdrawal bleed as day 1 of your cycle. As a previous poster mentioned it can take months for cycles to regulate after coming off the pill (in my case mine tricked me into thinking that I was straight into regular cycles and 4 months later went haywire before settling again) so expect some differing cycles for a while

Also, be aware that there are some things which can stop ovulation after the hormone surge (un ruptured follicle syndrome), and that can include illness, stress, but also over the counter pain killers, something which very few people know, and yet may be a common cause of delay in getting pregnant!

So, unless you REALLY need to take them, no aspirin or ibuprofen type medications mid cycle in the 3 days before you expect to ovulate (that was a tough one for me as I tended to get really sharp cyst type pains building in my side around ovulation time!).
