chocs remi d me are you post Ec? Or pupo?

Either way, if you feel fine get out and about. Our clinic pointed out that restricting yourself from normal activity is detrimental to your well being.

Once I could stand after EC I was walking miles while listening to my podcasts. As well as meeting friends for lunch in the city etc.

The day I tested I had walked 6 miles. So get out and about. You may need the vitamin D anyway Grin

beetle many clincs reccommened that your body is given 6 months between cycles or definately 3 months. I take this to mean that the drugs need time to leave your body and your cycle needs to settle. The whole womb/ ovaries etc have been through a lot - maybe 2 years worth of hormone in 6 weeks.

So, dodgy period is probably a result of the 'chaos'. Do get a medical opinion though (after all that!) if its not normal for you, but I suspect is a result of the cycle.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 24/07/2013 08:48

fish I'm PUPO. I guess I think I should be chilling to allow implantation to happen, who knows!

beetle glad you've started jabs, good news. My first proper period after the first IVF was like you're describing, really heavy and clots. Our bodies can be weird and just need to reset sometimes I guess hope the heavy stuff is out of the way soon.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 24/07/2013 09:30

I'm back from the clinic, just had bloods today. I'm booked in for a scan on Friday which is day 8. The nurse said if I've responded well I could be ready to trigger on Saturday.

Fab I've got the Zita West cd, I find it does tend to send me to sleep as well. I couldn't put it on last night as I couldn't find my earphones. I didn't want to disturb DH as he had is away for work for a few days and had to be up at 6am to get to the airport. I'm going to put it on now and try for a sneaky nap.

Beetle I've no personal experience as its my first cycle but I've read on here and ff that the first few periods can be very different to normal post IVF. I guess it's because of all the follicles that have been stimulated, there must be more lining than usual to shed.

Life I'm sorry to hear about your loss x

NookNook I knew I had missed one of you preggos out! How are you doing?

Cups glad all went well. That great news if you can trigger so early! Hurrah!

Sorry about you period Beetle. Hope it settles soon.

How you feeling Wim? Any news yet?

Fish so sorry to hear you were at a funeral. Hope all is ok x

How are you feeling today Twinks?

And you Chocco

Sorry about the lack of sleep Fab and Cups. The heat really doesn't help matters does it?

Hello to everyone I haven't mentioned!

Wimwom · 24/07/2013 10:40

Morning all - cups and fab I had an unbelievably good sleep last night, I think it's stimming what messes up the sleep with the added heat factor.... You are nearly there! And the drugs from the anesthetic on egg collection no doubt helped too!
beetle hope the AF calms down - maybe it was just getting it all out there and will finish soon (fingers crossed). It's such an insult to have a minging period on top of everything else you have been through of late - I think I'd try to view it as a good flush out before a fresh start
twink and choc hope there are some distractions out there for you guys today..... And fish you need to get yourself some sex in the city!! It's easy watching that will make you laugh, and allow your little embie to get on with the process on making a very nice healthy heart. It can do it!
motor - brilliant hcg... You did only have one put back didn't you?
brookpipresnomaybetame thanks for all your support and good wishes - it's so lovely to know so many people are rooting for you!
I've had my morning embryologist call - 8 have fertilised, which is bang on average for the clinic so am feeling pleased and am now impatient for tomorrow's call! Bit sore but already belly has gone down a bit, so hoping those 5kg I have on during iVF will be some fluid which I can now get rid of too. Not stopping me munching on some choc raisins as I type though!
Sorry for anyone I've forgot - am still a little hazy after the drugs I think xx

chocolocodowninacapulco · 24/07/2013 11:19

Brilliant news on your fertilised eggs wim well done Grin

fish sorry, I forgot, did your reading go ok yesterday?

Fabuluce · 24/07/2013 11:22

Excellent news Wim - go embies - divide, divide!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/07/2013 11:24

That's fantastic news wim! Come on embies!!

Fabuluce · 24/07/2013 11:25

Erm I think it was me with the reading at a funeral on Monday....I challenge anyone to read the King James Version of 1 Corinthians 13 - too much 'eth'-ing for my liking - giveth, taketh, loveth, haveth....th th th th - thankfully I only had one stumble and no one seemed to notice my 'prophesyeth'!!

Fabuluce · 24/07/2013 11:31

Blimey cups - Saturday trigger is brill!! I can only hope!! I'm hoping to do egg collection on tues/wed but we'll see after the scan/bloods tomorrow. Have booked myself in for some electro acupuncture whilst I'm there too. Intense stuff but good!

Pipbin · 24/07/2013 11:43

Beetle I'm in my first round of IVF and right now I'm down regging.

I'm off work now as it's the summer holidays so I should be able to get all of this cycle done before I go back to work.

Lifeasafish · 24/07/2013 11:49

wim thats wonderful! 8 fertilised! Go you. Re weight - mine has only started going down although I have been eating sensibly for a few weeks and have walked a lot but I think its bloating that I have lost. I was able to wear trousers yesterday that I couldn't get past my backside on saturady morning.

Funeral - thanks for the condolances, the story would out me big time but he was very elderly and had a fun life. I've never been to a 'happy' irish funeral before and this one was a lively one. They are my surrogate family from childhood!

motor meant to say earlier - bloods look ace and I'm glad you are getting reassurance.

fab i've had to check the day! I did a reading too. Not the corinthians luckily Smile. Sorry for your loss too. i hope the person had good innings.

cups thats brill! What a quick trigger, well done.

Lifeasafish · 24/07/2013 11:51

I must say, these past 2 months have been eventful for me. Lots has happened both nice and horrid and I've spent lots of time with people who I don't get to see often and with you lovely ladies.

Regardless of what happens next week I will always remember the 'chaos' of this summer!

Btw - yes, I'm still testing everyday. I missed 2 days and went loopy, so I got more tests. I guess its like a comfort blanket to me Confused

nobeer · 24/07/2013 12:19

wim great results! Well done embies! Keep up the good work!

nobeer · 24/07/2013 12:21

Sorry fab I meant to ask how had it gone. And sorry I missed that you had a funeral too, life.

nobeer · 24/07/2013 12:25

I'm worrying over the FET. I've got a scan on Friday, then I've managed to convince myself that it's going to interfere with a few days we've booked away. DP really needs a holiday, he's been working ridiculous hours and I don't want him to spend all of his holiday sitting in bloody waiting rooms.

I know it's pointless worrying about something I don't even know about, but that's just what I do. And I'm worrying about maybe having to inject again. I thought all of that was over and done with.

Sorry, just needed to rant/get it out of my head.

twinklestar2 · 24/07/2013 12:39

Thx everyone for reassurance about the grade of blasto. Been furiously googling and there are lots of success stories (ignoring the failed ones) with grade 4AB so I have to try and remain hopeful (although there have been tears again today argh).

I have called the counsellor 3 times and left messages! grrrrrr

fish - good luck for your scan on Thursday. And big hugs, you sound like you need it Flowers

fab - re royal baby, stay away from Daily Mail online then. There's about a million non-stories on the 'messiah'. I'm annoyed actually as the journos have all left the hospital and are now camped outside Kensington Palace. Leave them alone for gods sake. (But then I dont feel too sorry for them because at least they have a baby - bitter, moi?)

beetle - I'm really sorry you're having a bad AF. That's just extra cruel after what you've been through.

wim - well done on the fertilised eggs, keep us posted.

hello to everyone else :)

twinklestar2 · 24/07/2013 12:40

nobeer - hers a hug for you too. I dont know much about FET but maybe someone else can help you better?

chocolocodowninacapulco · 24/07/2013 13:06

cups well done on being able to trigger at the weekend, that feels quite quick(but then I take ages to respond)

nobeer sorry you're feeling unsettled and really hope you get to have some nice holiday time.

Poor old twinks, what are your distraction techniques today? I'm googling more than I should be at the mo

Just had a little trip out to(wait for it) ... The tip and lidl, oh the excitement Wink

BrookerC · 24/07/2013 13:07

nobeer talk to your clinic about the holiday. They may be able to time it right for you. When I've discussed dates with mine they have been very supportive (the more senior the person I have spoken to the more supportive interestingly). I'd say a short break would do you both the world of good anyway.
wim fab news on the fertilisation Smile
beetle promised didn't I? my first AF after failed cycle was bang on date but very heavy unusually for me. It's horrid but normal. Hope it eases up soon. x
Hi everyone else will catch up properly later (sorry really busy at work) xx

twinklestar2 · 24/07/2013 13:20

Choco - I'm off out with OH today. Did some work from home this morning. I really should go back to work at some point, sigh.

Can swear I'm feeling twinges today. It's one week since ET.
