Roll up, roll up for the best discussions of ewcm, opk, ic and double dying you'll ever have. Probably.

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Oh no, Is boomdog II ok?

Major subject change...

Grrrrr DH won't do me

barkingtreefrog · 29/07/2013 18:53

Boom that sounds just terrible, I would be in pieces. Just had to leave barkingdog at DP's uncle's. Won't see him for a month Sad . He loves it there though, plenty of company and a dog of the same age he gets on great with. My dog has a thing about German Shepherds after a couple of incidents when he was a puppy and will walk off the path giving them a very wide berth.

bunny I think I've just resigned myself to it being business as usual and AF arriving 8dpo. Really did believe it would work. It might still have brought O a couple of days earlier but I won't know as I'm leaving the sticks and thermometer behind. Not dived headfirst off the yellow brick road just yet, but not skipping confidently down the middle any more.

So what's this food thing? Someone tell me more! I've decided after trying on the bikini I bought two years ago that I need to eat more healthily. I don't eat badly meal wise, we cook fresh etc, but I think if I kept track I might find that I snack more than I should....

barkingtreefrog · 29/07/2013 18:55

Bunny don't panic, you're fine. The swimmers last 5 days so you've probably got two doses treading water in there, waiting for the sprint to the egg. Smile

Boomgoestheweasel · 29/07/2013 18:56

Oh Bunny, I'm not laughing but really I am laughing at how you put that! I'm so sorry he's being a mega-twat. You might be ok if you DTD on 12 and +OPK same day, but I am no Merk when it comes to such subjects I'm afraid. Here, let's open the party Wine before anyone else gets here, I think we deserve it!

barkingtreefrog · 29/07/2013 19:17

Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine for me please!!!! And someone remove all sharp implements. MiL has just said to DP 'Maybe things will happen for you while you're away as you'll be relaxed'
ARGHHHH!!!!!!!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/07/2013 19:22

Bunny if it makes you feel any better I actually had to get v v v cross at OH Blush to get him to DTD on demand this month. I was almost in tears of frustration that out of everything we didn't have control over during TTC, the one thing we could control (shagging) was not happening because he was tired/hurt his back/didnt like the pressure/insert other crap excuse here. I think it actually helped me to get the frustration and out and for him to understand that the stork wasnt going to drop a baby at the door and he had to pull his dick finger out when we had the chance whether he fancied it or not. He did man up after that.
I feel your frustration though. wouldn't it be easier if they could just hand over the sperm in a pot?

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/07/2013 19:24

Barking I recommend immediately poking her in the eye with a fork. Comments like that deserve physical violence
Boom I'm Shock at boomdog, poor thing and how clever to go home! Have had many similar dog incidents in the past
And for whoever asked, its Samui and Cambodia for us.

SidneyBristow · 29/07/2013 19:26

Hi guys,
Mountain of laundry/ironing is now sorted and all is put away. Not the most exciting day at chez Bristow. CD4 here and not a lot to report, apart from that I called to get the status of my FC referral and was told it's in process and to expect a letter in around 2 weeks. Referral was done on 12 July so I guess all is rocking along. My cervical swab for chlamydia came back clear, no surprise there, and bloods are still pending. Ho hum.

Did find out today from a completely unrelated conversation with a friend that a friend of hers who is also 38 is now 5 weeks pg from her first cycle of IVF, which apparently took place at our local hospital, where I'm being referred to. It's encouraging news although I am still not mentally on board yet.

Boom that is chilling; I'm glad you're all back home safe and sound Brew

Bunny happy Mumsnetaversary Thanks I might have to make an early exit though, shattered and the quiet in my house is almost too much to resist...I need some sleep! Holidays are knackering!!

Bunnygirlie · 29/07/2013 19:30

barking it's My Fitness Pal, free ap or you can use website to track food.

Ooh a pre party Wine don't mind if I do boom and barking

merk yep it's very frustrating, at least we got a few boinks in pre-ov, but I would have liked a bonus bonk!

Bunnygirlie · 29/07/2013 19:31

Thanks sid

SidneyBristow · 29/07/2013 19:31

Barking may I borrow the fork that Merkin is passing you once you're through with it? I think I forgot to share that my mother emailed me a couple of weekends ago while we were on a house party weekend to "remember: relax relax RELAX" (typed out exactly like that). WTF she meant I can only guess, but the image of me calming myself down so that DH could make his contribution has stuck in my mind. Could not be farther from the reality of it all if she tried.

When we're all mothers ourselves, we won't be nearly this clueless, will we? Wink

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/07/2013 19:38

Yep Sid, you are welcome to the fork for your mum. My mum bless her suggested acupuncture which at least was a vaguely sensible suggestion

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/07/2013 19:38

But then I think it took them years to conceive me so she was very understanding of the emotional toil

Bunnygirlie · 29/07/2013 20:02

Took my folks years to conceive me too, hope it's not hereditary!

Bunnygirlie · 29/07/2013 20:03

Let's get this party started, now who had the Wham CD?

BlindKitty · 29/07/2013 20:03

bunny ooh can we play musical chairs with the sop, ror, etc?!!!

barking totally agree with pip re cbfm! Complete waste of time! I resent mine for all my fertility problems! I have cloud for 4 cycles and each was a different cycle length!

boom add me on mfp!

Well my heavily preg friend came for tea tonight and to plan her baby shower. Have really held it together well considering. The best bit was when my darling cat kept rubbing her head all over the bump...what a f£&@ing traitor! Was going to video it and post it on fb but then thought I couldn't be so cruel to you all!!!!

Bunnygirlie · 29/07/2013 20:05

And sleeping lions on the RoR!

barkingtreefrog · 29/07/2013 20:10

Ok, I've downloaded myfitnesspal and my username is barkingtreefrog Grin
I have no idea how much I weigh though. We don't own weighing scales and the ones here at MiL aren't working so I put a random guess in! Not looking to lose weight though, just eat a healthier diet and tone up. I have love handles! Where have they come from?! Shock

IamKuma · 29/07/2013 20:19

Just checking in for the party, I could do with some Wine and it's only Monday, sigh! bunny happy mumsnetiversary from me too! I'm pretty sure conception isn' hereditary, my mum always said our family was super-fertile... obviously not where I am concerned!

I went to a friends wedding on Saturday and DH and I were faced with the 'ooh do you want kids' question, I was quite surprised to see him also panic and give me a rabbit in headlights look at which point the person doing the questioning decided that I must be pregnant already. Is there ever an easy way out of that conversation?!

barking have a lovely holiday, 4 weeks away sounds amazing. I second (third, fourth or whatever) those who say leave all the paraphernalia at home; when I was in the US in May I tried to keep on temping but got no sense from the readings at all. I guess travelling, jetleg and a warmer climate doesn't help. Just you relax now..... Wink

Bunnygirlie · 29/07/2013 20:37

Heard a great answer to the 'when are you having kids' question yesterday, just say 'the way we do it we can't have kids'

Boomgoestheweasel · 29/07/2013 20:52

Wooo, party time! Happy MNiversary Bunny!

I've found you on MFP barking and kitty. Bunny I think I've made my diary visible, wang me if it doesn't work!

Hello Kuma, ooh you're tempting fate with your relax comments around here tonight! Personally, I think if we all just stop trying so hard we'll probably get pregnant straight away.

I can think of a fair few people who deserve a good forking, not least my instadiffa friend who texted me the other day saying 'pregnant yet?' (she's well aware of the issues we're having)! Gaah...

Boomdog II has recovered nicely and is fast asleep with his ear in his water bowl. Officially an idiot.

Right, have we had enough George Michael yet? What's next on the party playlist?

Boomgoestheweasel · 29/07/2013 20:53

Bunny bwahahahaha

Bunnygirlie · 29/07/2013 21:00

Too soon for abba?!?

Boomgoestheweasel · 29/07/2013 21:20

It's never too soon for Abba!

I haven't got a handbag to dance around so I'll make do with the dog. He's relatively inert.

barkingtreefrog · 29/07/2013 21:21

Bunny I really want to use that line!!! Grin Grin Grin Ooo, hope I'm suitably squiffy next time I get that question as I might just have the guts! Wink
ps never too early for Abba!

kuma I'll relax as soon as we're on the first plane. maybe not enough to make a baby on the plane though Got a nightmare travel plan as we're tight arses so we've got three coaches to get to the airport then 3 planes!!!

Thanks for the fork merk suddenly I don't feel so guilty for my pimping activity this morning when I was short of a pot ^^ Shock Shock Shock
