How long till you get dark positive on cheap tests?

Hey ladies just wondering how long you waited till you had strong dark lines did you get them right when af was due or like a week later

I used a cheap test as soon as I knew I was late by a day or two & got a good positive result ;-)
...but then went & bought a clear blue anyway lol & sure enough it said 1-2 weeks pregnant.My GP said I shouldn't have bothered as they use the cheap ones & even a faint line still means pregnant & they are just as good.

I didn't get a positive at all with my first pg till I was 6wks - so 2wks past period. It was dark then straight away.

With my second, I got a faint line (hadn't had a period for months due to top and subsequent D&C, mc, and another D&C, so dunno how far along, but reckon 4 wks), which got a little darker, then got a positive with Clear Blue digital, then everything went negative and I mc. I'd be very wary of pale lines now - plenty of people get them and go on to have healthy pg and babies, but obviously I didn't .

I used a cheaper lloyds own test. One week after AF due and dark line was immediate.

I got a feint positive 2 days after I expected my period. I then tested very many a few times over the next month (just to be sure!) and didn't get a strong positive until about 3 weeks in. I obviously didn't know at the time, but I wa carrying twins!

So a feint line is still a line. Even if it is still feint weeks later, and even if you're carrying twins

Please excuse my use of the wrong 'feint/faint'!
