I used a cheap test as soon as I knew I was late by a day or two & got a good positive result ;-)
...but then went & bought a clear blue anyway lol & sure enough it said 1-2 weeks pregnant. My GP said I shouldn't have bothered as they use the cheap ones & even a faint line still means pregnant & they are just as good.

I didn't get a positive at all with my first pg till I was 6wks - so 2wks past period. It was dark then straight away.

With my second, I got a faint line (hadn't had a period for months due to top and subsequent D&C, mc, and another D&C, so dunno how far along, but reckon 4 wks), which got a little darker, then got a positive with Clear Blue digital, then everything went negative and I mc. I'd be very wary of pale lines now - plenty of people get them and go on to have healthy pg and babies, but obviously I didn't Sad .

I used a cheaper lloyds own test. One week after AF due and dark line was immediate.

I got a feint positive 2 days after I expected my period. I then tested very many a few times over the next month (just to be sure!) and didn't get a strong positive until about 3 weeks in. I obviously didn't know at the time, but I wa carrying twins!

So a feint line is still a line. Even if it is still feint weeks later, and even if you're carrying twins Grin

Please excuse my use of the wrong 'feint/faint'!
