We're TTC number 2 but no luck after a year of trying. We're thinking of going to see our GP, but not really sure what they'd be able to offer. We're in our mid thirties, so guessing that we may not be eligible for much on the NHS?

I'm in the same position as you. I've been trying for 9 cycles with no luck and I'm 39 years old. I've had my bloods gone, tubes and ovaries looked out. Everything is as it should be. Final treatment is IVF which we are not eligible for on the NHS as we've already got a DS.

Spoke to the clinic today and an average cycle will cost us. £7k :(

It's worth checking with your own NHS PCT as they do vary. The common theme is you must be childless in order to qualify for IVF. Best of luck, it's heartbreaking isn't it?

Thanks, we've made an appointment to see the GP and find out what our options are. Good luck!
