Cheesy I never had any success with ic opks: would get a line but it never got darker than the control, even when my cb gave me a smiley face.

DP is very eager to ensure success. He doesn't want to give up smoking yet and I keep nagging him to for his health and the health of his sperm but he's trying to prove me wrong! And we like sex Wink

PurpleGeekyGirl · 05/08/2013 20:06

Pixie covering all bases!! Flashing smiley for two days then fixed smiley for smep 3 + 1 of dtd and, well, we like each other a lot Wink

cheesysmile · 05/08/2013 23:06

Thanks Purple, if doesn't work this month then might try the CB ones next mth. TBH we're DTD every 2-3 days anyway so hopefully covered, I'm just keen to see that my body is working again after my MC.

Hope this is your mth, you've certainly been putting in the effort Wink

Pixie001 · 06/08/2013 07:25

purple i'm just Envy 13, 15, 16, 17 was quite enuf for us, ov on 15 so hopefully covered.

I remember when dh and I first met and dtd every day for about 6 mths just because we enjoyed it. 6 yrs later and a year of ttc it's bit more of an effort.

Pixie001 · 06/08/2013 07:30

Just off to put kettle on...anyone for a Brew? I'm still longing for jaffa cakes... Think may have to nip to shop. Any other orders whilst I'm there?

ImaginaryHat · 06/08/2013 07:44

I'll have a Brew cheers Pixie, struggling to get moving this morning, really don't wanna go to work, wanna get back in bed!

JellyBeanDavey · 06/08/2013 08:32

Puple dp and I are exactly the same. Everyday for the first 3weeks of last month we dtd everyday some times twice. We were pretty active before ttc but it seems baby dust has fuelled us into doubling it. Hormone eh Wink

Owlie84 · 06/08/2013 08:47

Hi all,

I'm really struggling on this cycle :( My dh seems to suffer from performance anxiety at completly the wrong time. It's happened all three months we've been trying. we managed to dtd on CD 9, but I think that may be too early? and that was it!! I of course don't tell him the ins and outs of everything, and try to be very supportive, but still it's a little frustrating. I don't know what else to do!!! Sorry if that's tmi, but I have no one to talk to!

Anyway, from dtd on CD 9, a week later my boobs are really really sore, much earlier than a normal PMS thing. could that be a good sign? Or am I really clutching at straws?

Pixie001 · 06/08/2013 08:50

Yeah alright jelly no need to rub us less frisk ones' noses in it! Wink how's your random cycle going so far?
imaginary I was similar...feel shattered and it's only tues! Here's a wake-me-up Brew for you.
So where are our next poas-ers? af Bfp not due til sat for me so still too early yet altho already tempted

blueamber · 06/08/2013 09:01

I'm getting off the bus! AF came too early, but it's the first one after stopping the pill so hopefully the next cycle will be better. Good luck everyone.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 06/08/2013 09:10

Boo Blue, sorry AF is here.

Sorry Pixie!! My dad always told me to put a bean in a jar every time you dtd in the first year of a new relationship. He said you'd spend the rest of your time together trying to empty them all back out again!!

Jelly phew! Not sure we could manage it twice in one day! There were some points last week when DP looked at me pleadingly and said the smiley face was haunting him! It was extra hard (fnar fnar) as we were on holiday with his parents in a shared house so had to be very quiet and careful!!

Owlie sorry to hear about your DP and performance anxiety. Sorry also if bragging about lots of sex isn't helping... My ex-H had the same issues and we just had to be patient about it which was really bloody frustrating but nothing I said or did helped as it was all in his head. He'd want to, but then not be able to finish inside (sorry for tmi!). Is your H holding something back about wanting to have children?? Or is he just too worried about getting it right that it affects him? As for dtd on cd9 being too early it will depend when you ov.

I have af cramps already (cd17 of a 23-24 day cycle) right on cue so it looks like lots of sex isn't a sure fire thing anyway. It's been a year of ttc now and I am so fed up. Seeing my GP next week to discuss anyway so will see what, if anything, they say...

Pixie001 · 06/08/2013 09:15

owlie can totally relate...how long you been trying? Dh went thru a phase about cycle 7/8 where we had same issues. It was all due to tiredness and pressure to perform as we both deserately want a bfp. So I've chilled about ttc since then i shared way too much info and now dtd when we feel like it, which has tended to be in morning when he's in full glory anyway Wink. It's all mental for him so I found dtd at other non-fertile times helped because that was just coz we wanted to. That built up his confidence that he didn't have a permanent issue and think he's pretty much forgotten it now. For a while I thought it was me that was the issue and tried to be more 'sexy' [ha!] and tried different positions etc but in the end it was the situation nothing else.

Good luck, be there for each other, try not to take it personally and don't force it when it doesn't feel right.

Owlie84 · 06/08/2013 10:32

Thank you Purple and Pixie :) My dh has come round to the idea of trying in the last year or so (it's taken me a very long time to introduce the idea through gentle pensuasion) but now he's really excited. It's definitely all in his head, and it's exactly what you described Purple with your ex-H.
I'm going to try to chill out a bit more, and I'm sure it'll be ok. :)
Good luck with your BFPs!!!

TheBabyFacedAssassin · 06/08/2013 13:19

Pixie Did you get your Jaffa Cakes? There's a couple left here in our treat box in the office and have my eye on at least one of them!

My DH thinks all of his Christmasses have come at once since we started TTC! I think I like my sleep too much, once I see the bed I just get automatically sleepy. Maybe then I need to be more creative with where we dtd Grin

How's everyone's Tuesday going? I'm having one of those days where everything I go to do takes 10 times longer than it should...but there's about to be some cake for one of the girl's birthdays so that should make everything better!

impatientlywaiting · 06/08/2013 14:12

Hi All,

Been catching up with the latest posts. Commiserations to those who AF has got. Definitely seems like she's arrived early for lots of people. I wonder if it is the weather.

Congrats to the BFPs although it would be good to see some more. Seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front.

I'm hearing up for what I think is my fertile period. Last month when I got pregnant I conceived on CD12. I'm on CD11 today, but haven't had many signs of O'ving yet. No cramps and not much to report on the CM front either so I'm guessing that my cycle might be slightly delayed due to the miscarriage. Still DTD regularly just in case. Hoping O isn't delayed by too much as I'm going to Germany to see friends on the day I thought AF/BFP would be due, so it'll be a bit annoying going away if I don't know one way or the other if I'm preggo at that point. If I'm not then I want to be able to drink without feeling guilty.

KittyKK · 06/08/2013 15:19

Just got my BFP at 10/11 DPO!

I was just about to put the IC test in the bin as it showed just the test line....but left it by the bathroom sink and 10 mins later the 2nd line was showing!!!!

Confirmed by CB digital (shows 1?2 weeks) and FR.

Totally astonished. Will post my TTC prep in case there's anything useful for anyone else xxx

jaykay987 · 06/08/2013 15:24

gillywillywoo · 06/08/2013 16:14

Congrats kitty and sorry to people caught out by AF Thanks

Cd15 for me today. Earliest i think I've ovulated is cd17 although last month i didnt get my positive OPK til cd25. So... Not really sure when I'm going to ovulate this month! Grin
Been using digi OPKs since cd8 though just Incase it happens early!

My body is still coming to terms with not being on the pill anymore after 10 years on it! Sad

I'm staying with my sister tonight and tomorrow night (3 hours away from dh!) so I'm praying I don't get my positive OPK tomorrow. It's unlikely.. Although quite possible considering how random my cycles are.

Back home on Thursday afternoon and DH and I will be doing SMEP from then. We are ready to rock and roll from Thursday so please all pray for me that I don't get my positive OPK tomorrow cos that would be tragic!!!!!!!!

ImaginaryHat · 06/08/2013 16:20

Congrats Kitty, we were due another bfp! Flowers

Good luck in avoiding ov for a couple of days [gilly], sounds like you'll be OK from last month but we all know how our bodies like to randomly confuse us so got my fingers crossed for you!

Writerwannabe83 · 06/08/2013 16:21

Congratulations Kitty!!!!!! x x

impatientlywaiting · 06/08/2013 16:26

Yay Congrats Kitty!!!GrinGrinGrin

gillywillywoo · 06/08/2013 16:28

Thanks Smile
I'll be gutted if I get my positive OPK tomorrow and won't be seeing DH for a further 36-48 hours! AGGHH!

I've never got a positive OPK this early though so should be ok.

We are going to quite strictly do SMEP from Thursday night so getting a positive OPK tomorrow would be a disaster!
