Abnormal period

I'm in a little bit of a panic as to what's happening with my cycle this month, normaly I am quite regular, 28 day cycle ovulating on day 14. This month though I ovulated very early around day 9/10 and my period arrived on cycle day 24. Unlike normal though my period for the first 2 days was very light, almost non existant but was a brown discharge no blood at all, today whilst in the shower( sorry to be a bit graphic) I began bleeding and noticed in the drain of the shower a very large (size of a 50p) clot of blood. Does any one know if this is normal of what is happening?? Please help x

If you feel well in yourself, I wouldn't expect that it's anything serious and you're probably not going to become ill from it, but clots that big should be checked out, especially if unusual for you. Don't suppose you managed to save it? If you pass any more, try to keep hold of them in a jar/etc if you can. I think you should get checked out at the GP asap - see if you can get an urgent same-day appt tomorrow.

I don't think they'd be allowed to 'out' themselves as a doctor and give med advice to someone they're not clinically responsible for and when they're not on duty. Could be wrong, but I suspect as much. See what your own GP says. Are you feeling ok?

That's a good point didn't think about that, thank you. I'm feeling ok, not experiencing any 'normal' period cramping so just a little confused. Waiting for a call back from my gp x
