Trouble TTC - could ERPC have caused the ovarian cyst?

Have been bleeding for 7 weeks now. Have seen a gynae consultant (last Monday) & he said he spotted a cyst on my left ovary & it more than burst and is "oozing" - his words, nice! He said it isn't going to be removed immediately & I need to wait 2 months for another scan. If its there then they'll operate.

The trouble is how I can conceive when I am permanently bleeding? Consultant says many cysts disappear but 6 days on I'm still bleeding at heavily as ever.

Any advice? Could the ERPC have caused this? Will it affect my fertility?

Hi, very sorry to hear you are going through this, For what it's worth I had a 4cm ovarian cyst diagnosed after erpc last year and it has since cleared.

I do think it was related to the mmc and erpc (I had retained tissue and had the procedure 3 times in 7 weeks, cyst diagnosed after the 3rd op, not there before erpcs/mmc). I think the cyst could have come from trying to ovulate and not succeeding because of hormones/tissue still left so a cyst formed or maybe did ov but had a corpus luteum trying desperately to keep a preg going which grew into a cyst - not a doctor so just guessing though. Anyway the cyst did clear.

I hope the bleeding soon stops and you can move forward. Keep going back until it is sorted out.

Thanks Blackberry. Did you have to have the cyst surgically removed or did it clear naturally? If so how long did it take? So frustrated! Had to go through the heartbreak of a MC & now another barrier in the way if us having a child :(
