Me again! Had another thread this am about how I was getting anxious about no smiley as yet despite being only cd12! This morning no smiley, but now I've got one. What's going on? Dtd last night so will jump dp again tonight!

What's going on is exactly what should happen - you have your LH surge, now get busy!

The OPK reads hormone levels in the build up to ovulation. These hormones can start to surge at any time of day or night, hence why you got a smiley this evening but not this morning.

The smiley means you are probably going to ovulate in the next 24-48 hours, but it is not a guarantee. You can get a surge several times in a cycle before you actually ovulate, so really you need to keep having sex at least twice a week (but preferably every other day) throughout your cycle to give yourself the best chance.

Oh I don't get it! Yesterday morning negative opk, 6pm last night fixed smiley, fmu today negative again. I thought the clearblue digital is suppose to show 2 days?! Anyway we dtd the night before and night of the positive opk.

No it's perfectly normal to have an LH surge that peaks in the afternoon and doesn't last long.

When I used them I always tested early afternoon and most times the surge had gone by the next day.

Hi tea... You're meant to go from your FIRST smiley.
Ie you will ovulate around 12-48 hours after your first smiley.
Just because the smiley has gone doesnt mean you have ovulated.
You could ovulate on the day of the negative!
Dtd a few more times to be sure!
