28 day cycle, ov day 12, when can I test?

I'm getting all confused with dates and cycles and luteal phases and the like. I normally have a pretty standard 28 day cycle, this month I think I ovulated on day 12 ( only going by cm), so does that mean I can do a pg test from 14 dpo (day 26 of cycle) or best wait till I would expect af ( day 28, 16dpo?)

Just to confuse myself even more, last month I ov'd on day 15 but still had 28 day cycle, do luteal phases change every month?

You could do it from 14dpo but you might get a false negative.

There must be something in the water OP, I have a 28 day cycle and ov on cd15 without fail, this month ovd on cd12. Now not sure when af should arrive- 2 days early?

If it was me and I was being rational (that's hard to ask of TTCers!) I think it would be best to pick the later date and then wait a couple of days to see if AF shows up. If not then POAS.

But if you want to POAS then just you'll just drive yourself crazy if you deny yourself

I'm exactly the same. This month I ov'd day 12 when it's normally day 14. What is it with this month?? . Anyway I'm not sure when u should be able to test but I'm gonna wait until at least day 26 I think.

I'm not sure how accurate my cm testing is tbh...Why didn't I start charting my luteal phase years ago in preparation?! Because I didn't know it existed.... That's why!

I've just got some Bogof frer's so will be hard pressed waiting till day 26 let alone day 30 I think!

When ov moves around a bit, is it more likely to get earlier rather than later?
