I had egg collection today. 24 eggs collected. I'm in shock esp as I was on the short protocol.

Day 9 scan today. Lead follicle at 19mm and 5 others between 9-11.5 and 5 other smaller ones. If.I maintain growth over the weekend then we would be looking at Thursday for EC, eek!

I have managed to tighten the thumb screws on my consultant today and got him to sign me a hospital prescription for those £450 worth of drugs I was wailing about. I am now staring at a bag full of meds and injections which cost me the princely sum of nowt

It's so strange, this IVF process is the calmest I've felt throughout the whole 2 years of TTC. My OH was shocked at how regular my heart rate was and how calm I was.

I don't remember anything about it apart from going in and telling them I felt overwhelmed with the amount of people that were in the room (wasn't expecting that many people in the operating theatre, feels like there's a lot of people doing lots of different things to you) and then the next thing I know I'm awake and in recovery.

Thought that might help someone who's going in for EC soon

My EC was totally different, just three people in there. But I was awake for the whole thing!!

twinkle I had general anesthetic too. I'm 40 and I got 22. I had no idea I had that many eggs still in me. Must be cos I was a late developer

Twinks I'm 28 and got 16. I was on a low dose of gonal f as I had 40 follicles. They didn't crazy stim me thank god! It was bad enough getting 16 . How you feeling now?
