Have first baby, 22 weeks old. When is it too soon for number 2? They say it takes 9 months for your body to recover? We have never wanted a big gap, and I don't want to be selfish either, but I miss being pregnant and want baby to have company...

Plenty of people have 16 month age gaps, which is about what you'd have if you got pregnant immediately. Suits some families, but not others. If you think it's for you, then go for it! Grin

Well hopefully 22 weeks is not too soon as dh and I are ttc#2 anytime now! We have a 5 month old and like you, don't want a huge age gap!

Have you started the vitamins?

I have a 16 month gap between my two oldest DC, & my sister-in-law has a 13 month gap between hers. Both of us got pregnant with DC2 while breastfeeding. We had both planned to have a small age gap between children, but I don't think either of us expected to get pregnant again quite so soon!

Neither of us had any problems with our second pregnancies & we find having DC close in age has been great - they are all teenagers now & the siblings & the cousins get on very well.

So good to hear positive small age gap stories drama

If I was lucky enough to get pregnant soon I would expect it to be busy but hopefully not the nightmare some people have said it will be!

Dread the MS though, but that's part of it, unfortunately!

No vitamins as of yet, but eating better and stopped the glass of wine with dinner as an attempt to detox...so glad to hear the positive thoughts, my sister and I are 18 months apart and really close and want that for my little girl, just had return of periods after breast feeding and it is hell. So calendars and thermometers at the ready!!

When my mom fell pregnant with me, my sister was only 11 weeks old Smile

I would love to do the same when it comes to me having children. There is only a year and 3 weeks between me and my sister and I absolutely love it!!!! we did everything growing up and I love her to pieces!!! Smile

Yup we want as small an age gap as possible, no contraception since DD was born 10m ago Blush Unfortunately breastfeeding has proven very effective in that department Sad but we are still trying! Really miss being pregnant, lying in bed and feeling baby squirming around and hiccuping! Although I think my brain might have blocked out all the bad parts!

My ds is now 3 and I said to dh when ds was 9 months I wanted to try again but we stayed in a one bedroom rented flat so timing wasn't right. We eventually moved to a 2 bedroom place when ds was 15 months and didnt TTC last xmas! And still trying just now I wished I hadn't waited so long and kept on at dh now cos I miss having a baby round the houseSad and I want a sister or brother for ds. So go for it I say!! Dot leave it so long!

My son is 6 1/2 months old and we have been TTC again for the last 8 weeks or so although I have to admit that we haven't been trying all that hard.

It was such a trial to get pregnant with number 1 that I was hoping number 2 would be a happy accident! It would seem we are not that fortunate.
