Very worried about bleeding (after wine)

Hi all,

My husband and I are TTC and my period was 5 days late. I had spotting mid cycle that occurred around the same time as 'almost' positive OPK, and cramps about 10 days later that then stopped. So i thought we had timed things quite well this month. Then i started getting cramps again on and off for days and i thought it was AF but it never showed up. Ive been testing most days and still negative. Last night was bad and I had a couple of large glasses of wine for a celebration (ive otherwise not been drinking). This morning I felt a couple of pains in my side and later i felt some 'wetness' coming out. It was brown like at the start of a period, and i had mild cramps. So i though 'here it is!', but now its stopped again. I dont know if its AF or something else? Im really worried that the glasses of wine have caused something to happen :(

Has anyone had a similar experience (with or without wine consumption!)??

I had a similar episode when TTC, I spotted for several days before my period eventually started, it never happend before or since so I think I was stressing about it frankly

Thanks hilly, yeah that could be the problem because im anxious about it arriving. ive been on steroids this month and im concerned they may have messed my cycle up.

A couple of glasses of wine won't have anything to do with anything. Either your period is coming or its implantation bleeding. Time will tell.

thanks guys, yes i think i definitely panicked and over-reacted! it just seemed a weird coincidence. i think it is AF- and now i know that if i do a better job of laying of the wine next time i wont even need to worry!
