Please help - why do I seem fertile from CM and cervical position, but am not ovulating??

Just that really. TMI (sorry) - but my CM is stretchier than I've seen it before and smells slightly sweet (which I've read is fertile, compared to slightly vinegary-smelling CM which is infertile apparently) and my cervix is SHOW as far as I can tell. Bought digital ovulation tests yesterday after struggling a little with normal ones (it said the lines had to be the same or similar for it to be +ve, or the test line lighter for -ve - but how much lighter is no longer 'similar' ffs?!) fully expecting to see a smiley face on the test, but nothing! Nothing today either. What's going on? I'm working myself into a state because it's been 18 days now since I had a D&C and I'm sure I should have ovulated by now? Is it possible to have fertile CM etc and still not ovulate?? Thanks in advance for any replies :-)

D&C can completely mess up your cycle - I was told to expect my next AF 4-10 weeks following it, so 18 days is really no time at all to expect ovulation.

Oh. I thought it was supposed to regulate things :-S Last time, I ovulated immediately, and I got told this time to treat the D&C like a period and to expect thing to move from there as they would with a normal cycle. Do you think it's ok then? Thanks for replying :-)
