...then come and get your flipping baby here. We are a group of utterly priceless loons who are deadly serious about buying our babies at the highest price (or free if you're a lucky NHS bastard). There are no failures here

1x2 cell, grade 3
1x5 cell, grade 3.

Last time I put back a grade 1.

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:14

Zammo, I'm so glad you let them put both back. Listen, I know you had a 'perfect' embie last time which ended in mc. There is every reason to believe, then, that your last embie was made from a duff egg (duff eggs make 'good' embryos all the time; they just don't go on to live birth. Also, don't go nuts, but, at 37, one in three of your eggs will be euploid (non-viable). I reckon that may be what happened last time? That means this time around you are on to a winner. I don't care what your embryologists say...you're going to be pregnant Smile

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:16

Sorry, Zammo, I meant aneuploid.

OP posts:
JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:19

I honestly do not know how they can tell anything from a day two embryo. On day two I had a five-cell embryo which went on to become one of my AA hatching blasts. So there.

What is all this 'grading' at day two? I never new my grades until transfer day Confused

twinklestar2 · 25/06/2013 15:21

Hi Res! I'm actually ok about it. she's my best friend and this child was wanted, so good luck to her and I have to keep hoping and praying that I'm right behind her with my own BFP.

Having a positive day today! But OHs having a rubbish negative day. Argh. When ones up, the other ones down. It's exhausting having to keep boosting each other up.

eurozammo · 25/06/2013 15:22

Well day 2 is transfer day for me! But I think the clinic normally grades them as it goes along. As you were always going to blasto, I guess the intermediate gradings were not important.

I know what you mean about the duff eggs. By 40, it's only 1 in 6 that's a goodun, apparently. Shock

How's the pukiness?

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:23

There's too much talk of blastos and perfect grading on here. Let's stop it. Millions of IVF babies came from two- and three-day transfers of not-very-brilliant grading. Come on, ladies! Let's stay focused. We can do this! X

Can I hear a hell yeah?

HEEEELL YEEEEAAAHHH!

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:29

Euro, I feel really ill as it happens; I mean miserable waves of nausea. I hate symptom-spotting but here goes:

  • I'm so tired I fell asleep stroking one of my cats outside on my concrete garden path
  • My skin is the best it has been in months.
  • My left nipple hurts (and not when I prod it; when I just move).
  • My temps are brilliant - clearly the womb gymnastics were nowt to do with AF.
  • Oh, and I got a quite strong positive on my HPT test at 11am this morning Grin Shock Grin

Congrats on being PUPO, Euro.

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:33

Argh!

"I'M FUNKING PREGNANT!!!"

I can not believe it. I'm in heaven Smile

Yaaaay congrats juicy!!

eurozammo · 25/06/2013 15:35

Congrats juicy! That lovely trip to Brno was worth it!

twinklestar2 · 25/06/2013 15:37

I knew you were :)

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:41

Aw, thanks, my friends, I mean it when I say I couldn't have done it without you (well...you know what I mean). You've let me spend my 1ww spouting stupid, asinine, bonkers stuff and you've also - thanks to all your stories and troubles - helped me to rationalise this TTC nonsense in a way which would have made it bearable had it been a BFN. Really..it would have been okay. There are just no guarantees but I knew my only chance, at almost 42 and a miscarriage behind me, would be with a donor egg. You just never think any of this crazy science stuff is going to work. BUT IT DOES! IT REALLY DOES!!

I cannot believe how fortunate I am xx

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:45

Zammo, all that hatefulness in Brno. The boredom. The schizophrenic abusing his cat. The tears. The Tesco. Can you ruddy believe it? Nothing
has to go smoothly for this to work. You can ignore all your negative feelings and those demons that scream at you that you're a failure and that you'll never be pregnant again. Because they're wrong. They know nothing Smile

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 25/06/2013 15:52

Hold on... Ahem.... What?!!!!

Weeeeeeeehoooooo! Juicy that's amazing! Why wait so long to tell us?!!!

I'm so chuffed for you xxx

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 15:57

Thanks, Wish, but I was a little worried it may have been the Pregnyl HCG shot showing up from seven days ago. The truth is, though, that the line is too strong for it to be that. Besides, the embryologist's nurse told me the Pregnyl stays in the body for up to five days only Hmm

See, we were right, you didn't poo it into a czech sewer!

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 25/06/2013 16:04

Well Juicy I will do an extra special commando roll for you and you only Grin

Karbea · 25/06/2013 16:07

Juicy that is absolutely amazing news!

Euro my embies are worse this time, my eggs and sperm that made them were worse, but it is what it is, and babies are made from embies like ours so stay positive or else! Ps my acupuncturist said if you want yo be negative at this stage it doesn't matter, so feel free to have the odd woe is me hour or two!

JuicySausage · 25/06/2013 16:10

Zammo! I can't believe they survived that deep sea leviathan also known as my turd.

OP posts:
eurozammo · 25/06/2013 16:11

You missed "the wheelbarrow" off your Brno summary, joos.

karbea last time I was 100% negative throughout. I couldn't believe that IVF could possibly work for us as there was no reason sperm and egg shouldn't have met loads of times over the 2+ years we were trying.

I have acu later.

Karbea · 25/06/2013 16:15

It's best to be positive whilst the eggs are growing as, is it cortisone??? Can help egg growth. When they're back in they mainly look after themselves so it doesn't matter what you do to a certain extent.
