Alright you old tarts?! Grin
Seriously, hind legs off a donkey doesn't quite cover it!

juicy fantabulous news on your darker line, woo hoo!

Hello to the PUPOs euro and wish. wish how is the pain now? Difficult that they give you different advice re the codeine. Hope you feel better soon. As some of the others have said, it can be a bit of a comedown when you are no longer taking the drugs, going to appointments etc and are just left to your own devices again

tame so glad that the bleeding has almost stopped, you need a break from it all and to get your energy back. Really feel for you.

life can't wait to hear about egg collection!

motor great news on the embryos

nooknook did they suggest you went on the prednislone? Have you had the NK cell tests? I am going to be on #3 soon and although I haven't had NK cells it was mentioned that I'd maybe go on it

Hello to maybe twinks res nobeer lemon nocupcake nokkie and fab - bound to have forgotten someone!

Well, it looks like I'm going to be starting treatment sooner than I thought. Basically we are moving forward by a month so that we get the consultant that we want for EC and transfer. So EC will now be w/b 15th July Smile and I am having the 'scratch' on Friday. Day 1 should be early next week and by this time next week will prob be on 3 drugs: buserelin, clomid(!) and gonal-f. I am SO fucking excited to be starting again, woo hoo!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 22:00

Oh Tame that sounds shite. You poor thing. Luckily I've only had exhaustion with the down regging. And I did get terrible nervousness. To the point I couldn't it still or sleep. But that only lasted a few days.

Nook this is my first round, also having ICSI. They've upped my gonal-f again today. Due to the number of follicles and the good AMH, they are playing it safe. Just getting frustrated as I want them to grow Smile

Karbea · 26/06/2013 22:01

Choco get your gp to write you off.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 22:03

Cross-post Choco. Great news you get to start again soon! You feeling ok about it all?

twinklestar2 · 26/06/2013 22:03

Such conflicting info out there isn't there karbea? I've read a glass of pineapple juice is good for implantation.

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:04

karbea I would be immensely pissed off. I AM pissed off for you Angry

We go through so much, its really hard when partners aren't on board.

What is his take on it?? Does he make any effort to give up??

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:06

maybe I think euro struggled with the same thing. If it affects you in that way, its awful. I really dont think I will do long protocol again.

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:08

choco ace news on starting early!! Woo hoo!!

Have you had a scratch before?? Its stingy- take painkillers an hour before.

I had the NK testing at the same time as the scratch- will they test you?

chocolocodowninacapulco · 26/06/2013 22:09

Poor karbea. It does feel crap when you are doing everything and partner appears to be making no effort. DH did cut down on drink eventually by a lot, but only really in the end because he wanted to, not 'cos of my nagging. It's more for the appointments here and there that I think they may get funny. I was meant to be having treatment to coincide with the summer hols as the head got a bit funny about time off for previous 2 cycles, however she is off at the moment, so when the cat's away ...

nomaybe I can't wait. Really looking forward to the feeling of fresh start as it's been 3 months since the mc

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 22:13

That's great you're feeling so positive Choco. I'm very sorry to hear about your mc.

Tame I can completely see why you wouldn't want to do LP again. Feeling so shit can't be conducive to success.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 26/06/2013 22:14

tame I haven't had a scratch before, no. I asked about painkillers and the nurse said I could take a couple before. No, not having NK tests. The consultant seems to think it unnecessary, which is odd as he's very forward thinking otherwise and a bit of a maverick. His argument is that unless you have the endometrial biopsy test for NK, you won't get a representative result as the blood test can't tell you what's happening in the uterus. Not sure I explained that v well! I had all the blood clotting tests and karotyping and they were all negative

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:17

maybe it certainly can. Very dark times. My friends were amazing though. DR coincided with DDs birthday party and they took care of the lot. I couldn't have done it! Smile I am lucky- my friends are gorgeous. Had 2 of them round the other night researching Chlamydia PCR testing- they were fascinated! They definitely made DR do-able!

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:19

choco very excited for you! They will give you pred anyway though? If so I wouldn't worry x I didn't realise you had a mc Sad im so sorry. That must have been just before I joined. Was that from a successful cycle? So sorry choco. Xxxxxxx

NookNook · 26/06/2013 22:23

Karb join the club! DH got told his spunk was fine so he thinks it's okay for him to do what he wants. He is a twat.

Maybe the waiting is just hugely frustrating. They're always fiddling around with dosages.

Choco haven't been tested for NK cells but I get the feeling they're chucking everything they've got at me this round! I've never had even a smidge of a positive from IVF so we'll see...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 22:25

Ooh, got to love PCR Tame . You're lucky to have such amazing friends.

This scratch business sounds nasty Sad

chocolocodowninacapulco · 26/06/2013 22:25

tame sorry to hear about your depression, horrendous. No probs, lovely, it was pretty much 3 months ago on my last cycle with my 1 egg collected and my 2 day transfer. It was nice while it lasted, although only had the thrill of it for about 10 days when I went to do another digital and the number of weeks had gone down. Anyway, onwards and upwards!

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:27

Guys, seems we have a lot of unruly men between us Angry

How annoying!! Why can't they just fucking behave???!!!!

My DH would not give up his bike for love nor money. Desperation has given him a final push. Why has it taken me having a mc though??

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:33

I have always had it from a teenager. Always put it down to PMT but there are many months that it goes way beyond that and for a few days, I just feel very dark and very much 'not me' and find it hard to function on a social front. My friends and DH spot it a mile off. I become very low and very depressed very quickly. And 9 times out of 10, as soon as my period comes, it lifts. I had Prozac and citalopram a few years back when it was fashionable to treat pmt associated low moods with them but stopped when I had dd and have dealt with it without drugs since.

Best thing for it is acupuncture, good food and a long walk- alone!

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:35

And agnus castus but darent take it since TTC. That worked really well.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 22:43

Tame that is not fun at all. I'm with you on the walking front though. Nothing like it.

On that point, can I ask you wise lot a question? What are your views on exercise throughout this process? I run and was running 50k a week up till when I started stimming. My energy levels are rock bottom, and I'm stuck between deciding to make myself run or whether my body is trying to tell me something and I should rest.

tametortie · 26/06/2013 22:49

I think if your body is used to it,a small amount of gentle running won't hurt. Or could you go swimming instead?? Or to a class??

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 22:58

I think I will maybe just cut back a bit on the running. It's just become a bit of a struggle, which just ends up frustrating me! After transfer (if we get that far) is running a no-no?

NookNook · 26/06/2013 22:59

Yes - Zita West freaked me out about the whole exercise thing but I think if you're used to doing regular exercise it can make you feel low if you stop. I'm not sure any of us would be here if running actually hindered conception. I'm sure many an upduffed ancestor had a good run about!

nobeer · 26/06/2013 23:01

Juicy thanks for offering to write updates on everyone. What does stimming and downregging mean?

I started taking something called fostipur (seems to be FSH) and HMG-lepori (also has FSH in it) on Saturday. Went for a scan today and she said I've got plenty of eggs. Ovaries certainly feel twingy.

By the way, my Dr said I was ok to take paracetamol/codeine for migraines. But guess I'm not pregnant yet so doesn't matter.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 23:03

Nook that's why I thought i'd ask you sensible lot, as Zita was very adamant!! You're totally right. Onwards and upwards with he running. You're right about feeling crap if I don't get out.
