...then come and get your flipping baby here. We are a group of utterly priceless loons who are deadly serious about buying our babies at the highest price (or free if you're a lucky NHS bastard). There are no failures here

No, fish, she's PUPO. Fish, sweetheart, where is the pain and on what scale? I wouldn't doubt your clinic's advice. Who 'ori

OP posts:
MotorcycleMama · 26/06/2013 16:15

wish as you are PUPO I wouldn't have anything other than paracetamol. Ibuprofen has been linked with miscarriage and I'm quite sure that codeine is a no-no in pregnancy. I could be wrong, but I am surprised that it was recommended to you.

JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 16:15

...who 'originally' told you not to take codeine?

OP posts:
JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 16:16

Sorry, I meant Wish Blush

Motor great embies news! Roll on ET! Am so envious!

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 26/06/2013 16:19

A different nurse told me not to take anything apart from paracetamol. The nurse I spoke to today said take codeine.

My mum has just phoned, she went to the chemist for her pills and asked whilst she was there. She was told enoug of codeine can induce labour so that can't be good when PUPO/preggo surely?

The pain is in the left side and spreads to my back when I move or lift my leg.

I'm not gonna risk it. Thanks ladies

resipsa · 26/06/2013 16:19

Am I weird? I have had ERPC, EC and ET in last 15 months and never had pain afterwards. Or am I just hard as nails?

MotorcycleMama · 26/06/2013 16:19

Sorry wish I've just done a bit of googling and codeine is not a no-no, but it is a 'take in pregnancy only on the advice of your doctor'. The clinic should know best, so if they have recommended it, I would presume it is safe.

JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 16:20

Wish, Karbea & Zammo: PUPO
Mejust & Motor: waiting for ET
Fish: EC tomorrow

Downreggers and stimmers: do you fancy putting yourselves on this list? I'll update it every week so lurkers and newbies know what the feck is going on.

OP posts:
JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 16:20

Deffo no codeine in the first (or last) trimester.

OP posts:
JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 16:22

I've had ERPC and anal sex and no pain afterwards.

HTH

OP posts:
MotorcycleMama · 26/06/2013 16:23

Where the hell is my fellow 'waiting for ET' buddy mejust?

JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 16:24

Motor, I would trust your research over mine any day. I think my spoutings are largely based on anecdotal evidence anyway

OP posts:
JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 16:26

Motor, I am truly bamboozled by Mejust's silence. Why on earth would she 'go dark'? Mind you, Buzzy never came back so maybe people suddenly develop a pathological need to disappear.

I miss 'em both Sad

Lifeasafish · 26/06/2013 16:28

Ageee with the rest - no to codine. But I think yu should ask a pharma what drugs tou can take.

juicy your sex life intrigues me. Thanks for adding me to the list. Sod, the newbies I need it for myself.

Don't know how many of you remember.

MotorcycleMama · 26/06/2013 16:29

I just hope it doesn't mean that things have gone wrong for her juicy. How are you today in terms of nausea and tiredness my pregnant friend??

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 26/06/2013 16:32

I am worried about mejust. She PM'd me about the pain then diappeared. I hope she's ok Sad did we hear about her fertilisation? I can't remember

There seem to be some debates on what to and not to take so I'm just gonna stick to paracetamol to be safe. I didn't have much pain until I woke this morning and I've been on agony all day if I move! I'm 6 days past EC so not sure why.

Just had some orange/pink discharge (sorry tmi) so worrying a bit now. Grrr

Lifeasafish · 26/06/2013 16:35

This thread is fairly intense. And if people are devastated by what's happening to them while others are starting out finding it easier etc, it must be hard to even come in and say 'its going wrong' or 'its too difficult'.

Buzzy and mejust, if you are reading I hope you are ok. An update would be nice especially if you need the support, not only because we are nosey but because we are worried and concerned. You may be suffering without the support of those who have experienced what you are?

If you are finding things difficult, relevant/experienced people here can be PM'd, but do not forget your personal support networks and do remember your partners are hurting too and you can share your feelings.

I hope I am not speaking out of turn with the above but I understand if you are self-preserving by not posting.

Best wishes

Fish.

Lifeasafish · 26/06/2013 16:36

Of course, it could be possible that you have internet issues or are too elated/busy to post. If so, I also understand Smile

As you all were.

twinklestar2 · 26/06/2013 16:37

I might need the Gonal f if my bloody chemist don't pull their finger out grrrr

JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 17:11

Well said, lovely fish. I have a horrid feeling Mejust is in hozzie Sad

Motor, my gorgeous-fellow-recipient-of-nubile-wench's-eggs, the sickness came on about an hour ago. It's not nice, but I would rejoice at my eyes spewing magma if it was a sign of a healthy nipper Smile

JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 17:11

Twinkle, stay cool; we're here for you X

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 26/06/2013 17:55

Buzzy is ok - I saw her on the pregnant ivf worriers grads thread.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/06/2013 18:15

Wish, Karbea & Zammo: PUPO
Mejust & Motor: waiting for ET
Fish: EC tomorrow
Maybe: day 7 of stims on LP. EC pencilled in for 3rd July

I hope the absentees are all doing ok.

Hope you get your meds sorted soon Twinks. And that the dick head of a chemist bows down and grovels to you.

Hope your pain is under control now Wish. Maybe worth calling GP for some clarification?

Jucy was the anal in the wheelbarrow too?

JuicySausage · 26/06/2013 18:26

Fish & Maybe, I was joking about the anal. Th'usband is the only man who hasn't cajoled me into that painful and degrading scat-fest
