Welcome to the BESH plumbing thread, where we have blocked pipes, dirty u-bends and leaks aplenty.

Newbies are welcome to seek out the BESHtionnaire submit highly inflated quotes for consideration. Instadiffers will be massively overcharged and sent packing.

Hmmm, this job is gonna cost a bit Wink

I'm unusually unmenkul. I was going to test this morning to see if the trigger had left my system. I actually couldn't be bothered. It's very odd. I think I sort of checked out of this cycle when I was told the embies were a bit crap.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 01/07/2013 20:03

When's OTD Euro? I still have everything crossed for you.

Trooo Euro-it could work so don't throw in the towel yet. I may just throw it back atcha with some cockles inside if you do

Good that the NHS is paying for us Bugs. You is correct. I've never claimed anything yet so I want a baybee or my money back pleeease. (Not sure why I'm edging towards being a bit 'street'. Think it might be my repressed past catching up with me. The days before grammar. . . )

eurozammo · 01/07/2013 21:20

PMA checked out at ET day, I think.

OTD should be Sunday but as it's a Sunday, it's Monday. I'll probably test at the weekend though.

evilgiraffe · 01/07/2013 21:34

IOTO, euro, you never know.

I've had a day entirely filled with babies, but it has been really nice. Birthday party this morning, then picnic, then punting on the river. Lovely to see friends, and lots of baybee cuddles too :)

Tomorrow won't be so good, as I have a trip to the nurse for a smear and the second of the downregging implants. Still, I'm hoping to get out on my bike in the afternoon, which will hopefully be fun.

Bugs I still ave Kat's CBFM and a few sticks if you want it? I'd double check with Kat first but she did say she didn't want it back yet.

If you decide to go with temping I recommend using the Fertility Friend app (you can use it on you phone or just the website) and paying for the VIP service which is about £45 a year-ish. Get a proper basal body thermometer from here.

Let me k ow if there is anything else you want to know.

Bugs When I tempted I used futility fiend but just the free version which was enough for me. The cb OPKs are pricey but once you get your first :) you can stop testing. I found because I had a fair idea of when I might ovulate I often only needed 1/2 per cycle.

Sorry to hear about droid arrivals. Sending sympathy and gin in your direction.

CaptainMoll · 02/07/2013 09:02

Butt thermometer
Someone on another Fred I used to be on was really overly anxious about temping - turned out she thought you HAD to take it by putting the thermometer up yer fanjo and she was worried her partner would find it disconcerting first thing in the morning.

Bugs - I combined temping with cheap Internet pee sticks and free basic Futility Fiend. The combination of all of them, along with checking cm got me a very clear picture of my (in)fertile window. Having done it for a few months and paid attention to the accumulating signs (ie what order they arrive in, how long between cm and OV etc etc) I can just tell when OV is due by myself now, which helps curb the obsessing. I did it mostly to prove that I was actually popping out the eggs, not just having the hormones, which was def worth knowing.

I found temping post OV led to false hopes and obsessive madness, so be aware of that possibility! I know some folks find it helpful though.

App just cut my snigger from butt thermometer. It must disapprove of me.

I used Futility Fiend too and found it pretty useful. I found it gave me something else to obsess about anyway!

eurozammo · 02/07/2013 09:53

Butt thermometer

I have heard of some hardcore tempers who do it that way though.... I've always found putting it under the tongue works just fine though.

Fertility friend is easy to use. I have the VIP version, which really doesn't cost very much, but the free version is fine too. I used OPKs for a couple of months too, and it was reassuring to see all the signs (CM, pain, temp and LH surge) lining up as they should.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 02/07/2013 10:18

The thing with temperatures is you can't take any one reading in isolation, you need to look for the pattern across the whole cycle.

I've made my booking in appointment today - 25th July

Oooh! My birthday! How exciting!

I also snigggered at the butt thermometer.

driz how are you feeling about the impending stabbing today?

I couldn't be arsed temping. I would need to get up at 4am to guarantee doing it at the same time every day. Sod that.

bugs I did it for about 6 months. It was enough to give me confidence that I was ovulating (which is why I started temping) and had a good idea of when I ovulated. I got so I could reasonably predict it ahead of time.

Bearfacedchic · 02/07/2013 11:36

That's the day of our referral appointment too Frank. Smile

I've got a thermometer and stuff but I'm the same Twink. I can't be arsed having to wake up early at the weekend to temp. When I wake up I can't get back to sleep which would then make for a grumpy bear all weekend. I need my sleep!

Late snigger at butt thermometer.
