Hi ladies. I normally have a 28 day cycle. Ovulating on day 14. This month though I have tested positive for ovulation and it is only day 10. After 6 months of ttc I started taking evening primrose tablets to help with cervical mucas and vitamin b6. Could these have affected the test of have I just ovulated very early this cycle? If di can I still get pregnant?

Hi, sorry I don't know much about evening primrose and b6. It might just be a one off or it might be linked... Are you taking them just for cm? If so, it might be better to just use preseed or similar, in case these supplements are changing your cycle.

When did you get the positive? If it was today there is still time. You ovulate 12-36 hours after getting the positive.

I got a positive last night and then again this morning. Made the most of it last night just incase :-) Just quite confused as I though I had finally got to grips with my ovulation timings etc.

Sorry forgot to say, yes just taking them for cm. after a dr trip a week ago to have a pre conception check up, apparently everything is ok and the only thing I could come up with is that my cm always seems quite thick. After some research I found that other women seemed to have some success with epo and b6 supplements. ( kind of willing to give anything a go at the moment) but now after having a very early + ovulation I think I may stop! Just wondered if anyone had experienced the same.

If you have a 28 day cycle you may also not be ovulating on day 14. Ovulation is not an exact science and it can occur earlier, later or not at all in any given cycle.

OPKs measure LH and it is quite possible to have more than one LH surge per cycle. These kits can be therefore misleading.

, I have been using them for 3 months, I didn't get any results in the first 2 months and one positive reading on the 3rd month on my 14th day. Will just have to keep fingers crossed and keepvtryingbi guess.
