my ttc history, ttc for 2yrs and 6months. I got egg white cervical mucus only in oct last year and conceived that same month but miscarried in dec at 11wks . Never got ewcm again. Started clomid april this year.used opk in last cycle got +opk cd 19 and ovulation pain cd 20,21 but no ewcm. Currently on cycle 3 of clomid 100mg and using preseed. Just want to know if anyone ever got pregnant without ewcm. Thanks for reading and replying.

Do you feel that both of you as a couple have been adequately investigated for problems with fertility?.

What is your menstrual cycle like now?. Clomid is usually given to women who present with ovulatory problems, do you have a diagnosis?.

Clomid and OPKs are uneasy bedfellows; infact I would not use OPKs at all whilst on clomid. It can raise LH levels markedly; this is what the kit picks up and thus you may get false readings. Also importantly, you should be monitored whilst on it; no monitoring for instance is unacceptable as this is quite powerful stuff.

Yes I've got pregnant with no ewcm when I had DS, however I tried for 5 months with no success for DC2 then conceived the month I used conceive plus (although sadly miscarried). All it does is helps the sperm to swim a bit more.

I was breastfeeding when I conceived (now 20 weeks) and remember no mucus - I was just generally very dry from bf and was quite surprised I got pregnant. I suppose mucus may have been there somewhere - because I have been lucky to conceive quickly I am probably not as clear about what my body is doing as if it had gone on longer.

I think I'd echo what Attila says really about whether generally you feel you are getting the right investigations really. And just to wish you luck xx

thank you all for replying. I have done the necessary testing as in diagnoses. And dh is ok fertility wise since i was able to conceive naturally last year but mc. I was told by my gp that my problem is annovulation which was why i am taking clomid. Before clomid, my cycle were irregular but the two cycle of clomid was 31days each. My main problem is i got ovulation pains and did dtd yet no preg. I guess i just have keep trying. Will keep you ladies posted.
