Hi, I'm quite confused...my husband and I decided to try for a baby. I came off the pill about 3 weeks ago, had a withdrawal bleed then felt normal until a few days ago. Then I started feeling:
On and off throughout the day for a couple of days I felt a bit sick
Absolutely shattered by 8pm and struggle to get up in the morning (not like me - usually in the gym by 7.30am!)
A few headaches in the afternoons
Bloated stomach
A strange 'flutter' in my tummy
A weird feeling when I was going out for a meal on Monday that told me not to drink
A strange feeling in my tummy when I lie on my front in bed

Sorry I know this is completely vague, I might sound daft but I've never been through this before!

Does this sound like just hormonal change after coming off the pill or does it sound like my period starting or does it sound like I'm being completely daft and paranoid?!!

I don't know if symptoms can show this early?

And as I've only just come off the pill I have no idea when my period is going to start or when I'm ovulating! I also have no idea when I could do a pregnancy test...I want to hold off for a week or so just in case my period arrives in a few days.

Anyone have any thoughts/ideas or help! Sorry to sound completely useless x

Difficult one, OP . I'd have thought it would be a bit early for pg symptoms, but then again if you ovulated as soon as you came off the pill, you'd be 4-5 weeks now....which would usually show up on a hpt (not always though). You could try one and see what it says now.

How long were you on the pill? I've heard that, if you've been on it a long time, it can take up to 6 months for your body and cycle to get back to normal - but note the word 'can'; there are exceptions to every rule!

If you're normally quite in-tune with your body, I'd suggest you do a test now as something obviously makes you think you need to. If not, mebbies give it a week or two and see if you start to bleed. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply!

I was on the pill for about 3 years, and was regular as clockwork before that. I saw a friend with her baby yesterday and the baby kept staring at me and turning her head towards my chest (she's 6 months and not been breastfed for 5.5 months!) and my friend was like aarrrggghhh she did that when someone else was in the early stages of her pregnancy!

I think I need to calm down and not be too gutted if the test comes back negative.
