Hi Everyone.

Before someone starts telling me that I am "putting people's health at risk" I am not saying to do this. i am merely curious

I have seen on threads that lots of those who get BFP's were suffering from cold like symptoms.

I have also read that someone said their EWCM always increases with a cold.

Funnily enough the only time I ever managed to get a BFP was when i had a cold too.

I am wondering if whether the cold symptoms are a result of a lowered immune system AFTER conception, or rather the cold aided conception because of its (apparent) effects on EWCM!

Can anyone who had a BFP after/during a cold remember whether symptoms started before Conception or during/after!

As i said i am not encouraging people to go out and catch pneumonia, I know how desperate some people can get. I haven't had a cold since i got my last BFP.

Apparently the immune system lowers its defences to let the embryo implant (as the embryo is half foreign genetic material and would otherwise be rejected by the body).

OK... so for someone like me who has an unusually high immune system (Rhesus Neg) as well as several illnesses as a child that i was told by the doctor was partly to blame, would this maybe affect me and others like me?

There is a lot of research being done about the effect on the immune system on fertility. A book by Dr Beer called "Is your body baby friendly?" is a good starting point if you want to read up.
